The average foodie in Singapore has been spoiled when it comes to the term ‘award-winning’. So many establishments have won so many awards, it’s lost most of its meaning. When everyone is an award-winning restaurant or bar, no one is. Unless you do it all—like Temper.
The wine bar and lounge boasts accolades through the roof, starting with, most importantly, its people. Master sommelier Roberto Durán is the first and only one of his kind from Spain, responsible for Temper’s expansive catalogue of exquisite wines.
Along with his team, Durán has gathered over 1,500 labels and up to 250 wines by the glass. Their hard work has paved the way for Temper to be the recipient of two prestigious awards from the Star Wine List Awards Southeast Asia 2026 Gold Star: for both Best Newcomer List and Best Long List.

While wine can be a tricky business at best, Temper’s renown enables patrons to experience the very best in quality drinks. Whether you are a seasoned collector or an aspiring acolyte, the space is built from the ground up on two important principles: accessibility and awareness. And this vision of service starts before you even get to the wine.
Perhaps more than anything, Temper is tailor-made to serve as a vehicle for peerless, holistic hospitality. Take the music, for example—on selected nights, the sonic stage is set courtesy of a suite of live performances across soul, jazz and R&B, as well as an eclectic mix of talented DJs. The space that sound occupies is special, as well.
Its carefully planned interior design elements make for a package worthy of netting Tatler’s Best Bar Design 2026. Illuminating each nook and cranny is an award-winning lighting system from Madrix that allows the team to tailor every lighting sequence to the rhythm of the evening, from intimate dining to vibrant live music and late night sessions.

Rounding out the patron experience is a food menu that is similarly up to par. A kitchen team that’s been graced by Michelin stars means the ‘food’ in food and beverage is equal to the task of Temper’s enviable wine list. If you thought you knew what a modern brasserie could offer, think again.
If you don’t believe Temper is the complete package, just look to the clientele that have graced it in the past. Korean singer Sandara Park. Thai performer Becky Armstrong. If the space is good enough for Lisa from Blackpink, then there’s a good chance the enterprising wine-lover could find a part of Temper that speaks to their sensibilities. Even Yuki Tsunoda, former F1 driver for Red Bull, has swung by—an occasion the establishment aims to continue making good on this coming Grand Prix Season Singapore.
From 2-11 October, Temper’s ‘Feel the Speed’ programme stands ready to immerse you in an experience like no other. A natural extension of their hospitality principles, the ten-day-programme unfolds across three multi-sensory stages.

Grand Prix Grand Cru offers exclusive wine experiences inspired by great F1 moments from history. Ignition pairs the best in music programming with heady chef dinners fashioned after iconic F1 circuits around the world. Finally, Overdrive & Apex celebrates race-day with unprecedented gusto: late-night performances, peerless hospitality and moments that simply dare you to forget them.
Even if you aren’t keen to indulge in the F1 festivities, Temper is the real deal. The staff are intimately aware that the truest, most luxurious wine experiences are the ones that you care about. After all, taste is subjective. But we’d be lying if we said it didn’t help to have some expertise on hand.
