Tiffany & Co.’s Blue Box Cafe has finally arrived in Singapore. This marks the first Southeast Asian outpost, situated on the highest floor of the jewellery maison’s revamped three-storey flagship store in ION Orchard. Dressed in Tiffany blue all over, the interiors were designed by fashion-forward architect Peter Marino, a flurry of the brand’s signature blue boxes hanging from the ceiling.

The cafe’s inaugural menu is crafted in collaboration with renowned chef Julien Royer, the chef-owner behind three-Michelin starred Odette and its French brasserie sister Claudine. Dish items hint at Royer’s flair for blending Southeast Asian influences with French sensibilities, now with a touch of classic American spirit as an homage to the jewellery maison’s roots. Have your pick from three menus—live the Audrey Hepburn dream with ‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s’, bite down on the signature Tiffany & Co. burger available for all-day dining, or indulge in ‘Tea at Tiffany’s’ for a mid-day respite.

‘Tea at Tiffany’s’ presents itself in a classic high tea tiered stand, laden with bite-sized delicacies evident of Royer’s signature techniques. The afternoon affair begins with a refreshing palate cleanser made from lemon sorbet. When taken in between bites, the citrusy flavour lends balance to the rich, buttery nuances of the French pastries. An aged Comte gougères and Wagyu cecina roll opens the bottom layer, accompanied by quintessential finger sandwiches. A sophisticated sense of restraint runs through the savoury platter, as the traditionally rich ingredients are surprisingly light on the tongue.
The palate cleanser rounds the first layer off before moving up to the middle and topmost tiers. Here, Southeast Asian flavours are woven into the bite-sized confections. A choquette filled with rich pandan cream sits alongside a Yamanashi peach melba, while the calamansi tartlette with confit calamansi provides a bright, zesty twist after taking a bite of the New York-style chestnut cheesecake. Classic French patisseries can be found throughout, with the likes of a canelè Bordelais, lavender madeleine and citron givré. The expansive curation offers a comprehensive purview of classic French confections imbued with a familiar local twist that, when paired with a warm cup of coffee, makes for a delectable feast.

It’s a Tiffany world from the moment you step in. With its signature blue as the core tenet throughout the gastronomic experience, a fine spirit of excellence, craft and joy shines through every plate served.
