Good design gives a space its form. The right lighting reveals its character—the interplay between architecture, materials, lines and volumes. At Sol Luminaire‘s Guillemard Road showroom, one finds a space designed specifically for these unexpected encounters.
Here, light is explored through a collection that moves between the architectural and the sculptural, and considered not only for what it illuminates, but for what it brings into focus. The showroom brings together the in-house AEON range and an evolving selection of lighting, creating an environment where fixtures can be experienced as part of an interior rather than in isolation.

This thoughtful approach to retail curation is reflected in Sol Luminaire’s product development. Since 2014, it has continued to develop its lighting range, drawing on feedback from local homeowners, architects and designers to develop products best suited to the realities of Singaporean spaces. That process is less about discarding what came before than asking how it can be made better. Established designs are revisited, refined and remastered with new technology, allowing familiar forms to remain relevant even as life changes.
This thinking comes through in the latest AEON launches. Halo V2.5 takes one of the brand’s signature silhouettes and makes it 20 percent more compact, retaining its signature ring of light while introducing Tunable White technology. The 30MM Rust refines the discreet downlight series, designed to recede into the ceiling, and updates it with a deep terracotta finish for a layer of earthy warmth. Goli adopts the shape and reflective properties of a child’s glass marble, resulting in light that shifts as you move around it, while Dim-to-Warm technology and low glare add to its atmospheric quality. Eggy takes a more playful approach with an organic form, bringing a sculptural presence to the space.

Together, the pieces reflect the many ways lighting can transform a space. Some are designed to disappear into the architecture, others to draw the eye, but each contributes to the character and atmosphere of home. Exploring these possibilities—and understanding how light influences the experience of a space—is central to Sol Luminaire’s creative and innovative ethos. The process is informed by working closely with the people who specify, design and experience its lighting, from architects and interior designers to homeowners. Its partnership with DIALux then allows these ideas to be visualised and calculated before a fixture ever enters the space, bringing greater precision to the relationship between light and architecture.
This approach is rooted in a simple idea: the most memorable spaces are not defined by how brightly they are lit, but by what the light draws your eye to and how it makes you feel.
