It is in this act of curating, that turns spaces into homes. It makes living, in itself, something to be shaped, molded, and curated. And it is precisely this process of curation that comes into focus in Vogue Singapore’s next editorial chapter: Vogue Living Singapore.
“Over the past six years, we have built Vogue Singapore into a platform that goes beyond fashion—spanning culture, innovation, wellness and the way we live today,” comments Natasha Damodaran, publisher of Vogue Singapore. “With design and the home increasingly becoming expressions of personal identity, the time feels right to extend the Vogue lens into this space.”
What is Vogue Living?
The art of living has been an enduring subject of Vogue Singapore since its inaugural issue. But with the launch of its new vertical, Vogue Living, the conversation takes on a more concrete form.
Personal identity has never been more pervasive—or more spatial. Style now extends far beyond the clothes we wear, finding expression in the objects we collect, the interiors we curate and the spaces through which we move. The way we live has become another language through which we articulate who we are.
The debut of Vogue Living in the October 2026 print edition centres on the theme ‘Fashion’s New Habitat’: an exploration of how fashion, design and self-expression are reshaping our relationship with the spaces we inhabit.
“Rather than looking to Western ideals as the blueprint, we are seeing spaces emerge from more personal and culturally layered points of view,” muses Desmond Lim, editor-in-chief of Vogue Singapore. “Vogue Living Singapore will reflect this richness through a diverse mix of homes, creative talent and ideas that celebrates the region’s distinct design identity.”
In matters of design coming to the forefront, Vogue Living Singapore maintains a distinctly Southeast Asian perspective, with its new print and digital section dedicated to the region’s key voices in art, interiors, design and architecture. It is timed quite neatly with Vogue Singapore turning six this year.
The Abito exhibition
For the launch issue, Vogue Singapore is partnering with The Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Embassy of Italy in Singapore and Studio Palomba Serafini Associati to launch the international premiere of the ‘Abito’ exhibition at National Gallery Singapore from 3 to 17 October 2026.
‘Abito’ means both ‘garment’ and ‘to inhabit’—and quite aptly traces women’s lived experiences through garments and interiors. The exhibition, which debuted at Salone del Mobile in Milan, brings forth an examination of women’s agency as seen through furniture, fashion and objects. It is this exact tension which Vogue Living wishes to explore: that tension between the seasonal memory of fashion collections, in tandem with the permanence of design. Together, the two design entities trace collective memory—and become a reflection of the zeitgeist.
For curators Roberto Palomba and Ludovica Serafini, the changing aesthetics in relation to freedom and women’s roles in the lived spaces reveal “how fashion and design reflect broader social transformation and become powerful expressions of identity and collective memory”. Every object is juxtaposed with garments of its time—offering the visitor not merely a sequence of design forms, but a timeline of cultural transformation as experienced by women.
Vogue Living Conversations
In tandem with the exhibition and the launch, there will also be more opportunities to hear from key leaders of thought in the industry with Vogue Living Conversations—a day of panel conversations and keynote sessions exploring the future of our homes, spaces and ways of living. Set to unfurl at the National Gallery on 16 October, Vogue Living Conversations brings together local voices across Singapore and the wider Southeast Asian region who are designing the future of the region’s spaces.
The dialogues will encompass both local and international concerns, such as designing for density in a city like Singapore; spotlighting voices shaping Southeast Asia’s interiors and exteriors; and tracing lived experiences through space and sanctuary.
