This is due to discovery of a critical aspect of skin sagging identified by Shiseido’s researchers: with age, the zygomaticus major muscle—a key facial expression muscle—decreases in size, thus resulting in skin laxity and drooping. Rather than approach visible lifting as a purely surface-level concern however, Shiseido has opted to come up with a formula which bolsters the facial muscles that influences facial contours. A gym in a bottle, dare we say, designed to whip aforementioned muscles into shape so they appear more defined than ever, most particularly in the three key areas of the face: the jawline, marionette lines and the nasolabial folds.
Bearing this in mind, it begs the question: how did Shiseido go about doing this?

The proprietary D-AminoLift Complex was developed to help support Type I collagen expression, reinforcing the appearance of firmer, more resilient skin. Complementary active ingredients such as niacinamide and SafflowerRed help enhance your complexion’s resistance against oxidative stress, while botanical extracts like watercress, angelica root and Chai Hu eradicates sallowness.
