Seventeen is right here. Or is about to be, at any rate, with the seasoned K-Pop group gracing our shores for their world tour on the 25 and 26 of January. Their arrival heralds a series of firsts for both Singapore and the 13-member ensemble—not only will this be the band’s debut performance at National Stadium, it also marks the first time that Marina Bay Sands has partnered up with a K-Pop act for a succession of activations. For one, the entirety of Marina Bay Sands will be lit up in Seventeen’s signature rose quartz pink and serenity blue from 7PM to midnight beginning 25 January. This will be accompanied by delectable Seventeen-themed gastronomic offerings that will be available from 20 January, with selected partners such as Bread Street Kitchen as well as Origin + Bloom offering up limited edition savoury spreads as well as scrumptious sweets.
In line with the above celebrations, the Vogue Singapore beauty team is commemorating the occasion with a chronicle of the most stellar hair and make-up moments spotted in Seventeen music videos. Think along the lines of Jeonghan’s structural updo from ‘Super’; the obsidian and chrome manicure spotted on The8 in his recently released solo track, ‘Orbit’; as well as the slicked-back man bun that Wonwoo rocked in ‘Lalali’, amongst many others. Spy our full curation, below.

Hoshi's dreamy pastel eyeshadow
Of Seventeen’s diverse discography, ‘Spell’ by the performance subunit exhibits the most inventive hair and make-up choices. A personal favourite: this striking eyeshadow combo sported by Hoshi, accentuated with strategically-placed diamantés that further enhances his glowing complexion.

2 / 26
Jun's bedazzled lids
It’s metallics abound for Jun in the ‘Spell’ MV, with shimmery blue eyeshadow being perfectly complemented by a stylised suit of armour.

3 / 26
Seungkwan's straight-down fringe
No doubt the latest of the lot, Seungkwan’s blonde transformation in BSS’s latest ‘Prime Time’ is styled with a straight-down fringe and bleached brows to go with it—giving the vocalist a casual cool air throughout the MV.

4 / 26
Jeonghan's smeared red lip
An iconic moment that hasn’t been forgotten from ‘Fear’ in 2019? This pale, platinum blonde Jeonghan, wearing blue contact lenses as he smears a crimson lip in real time during the MV.

5 / 26
The8's high-contrast manicure
To go with the stark, gritty surroundings glimpsed in The8’s ‘Orbit’ music video, an equally grungy and mismatched manicure.

6 / 26
S.Coups's layered, half-up 'do
The rapper, songwriter, and overall leader of Seventeen should add another achievement to his burgeoning list of credentials: hair chameleon. Being able to pull off choppy, red-streaked strands in the ‘Lalali’ MV is an impressive feat all on its own. (Also deserving of a special mention: his butt-sweeping ponytail in ‘Cheers.’)

7 / 26
Woozi's wet waves
‘Super’ was Woozi’s ultimate anthem to his renewed confidence and it showed in the opening scene of the MV. His wet, straggly waves falling over those shadowed-out eyes cast the group’s main producer in a new light for the fandom.

8 / 26
Mingyu's luscious pout
A high-shine gloss serves as a fun touch to a clean, matte make-up base. To ensure the look really pops, a light smattering of bronzer is applied over Mingyu’s defined, out-of-this-world jawline in the ‘Lalali’ music video. Tousled, windswept hair is the cherry on top of this ridiculously attractive sundae.

9 / 26
Wonwoo's high-octane man bun
Talk about a look that has been meticulously—and painstakingly—crafted to induce an ungodly amount of swooning. See: everything from the lone, loose tendril framing Wonwoo’s eyes in the ‘Lalali’ MV to the subtle lip tint that conveys a just-bitten effect.

10 / 26
Dino's pudding-inspired hair
Does no one else get the comparison? Nevertheless, we’re big fans of Dino’s dyed tips from ‘God of Music’ that adds just the right amount of dimension and depth to bleached blonde strands.

11 / 26
Jun's intense smoky eye
The eyes have it. Seventeen’s make-up artists are well aware that delicately smudged kohl and just a hint of glitter is enough to pack a serious visual punch, as seen on Jun in the ‘Super’ music video.

12 / 26
Vernon's indie sleaze swerve
Vernon couldn’t have been more himself than in the ‘Black Eye’ music video, his first solo drop. Cue the pop punk influences and an indie sleaze transformation of shadowed lids, that frizzy hairdo and earring placements we can’t help but admire.

13 / 26
S.Coups's fiery red extensions
Suffice to say red is his colour. The textured cut and extensions S.Coups dons in the ‘Super’ MV is definitely one for the books.

14 / 26
Dino's ethereal highlighter
It’s all about the glow. Dino is practically radiant in the music video for his solo track, ‘Wait’, thanks to a potent combination comprising glistening, shower-fresh strands and perfectly-applied highlighter.

15 / 26
Joshua's rocker chic hairdo
If there was one moment that Joshua channelled his most laid back, casual self—like the boy from LA he is—it was this moment in ‘Darling’, Seventeen’s first English tune. He was certainly feeling himself with this longer, layered look, highlights streaked in.

16 / 26
Jeonghan's binyeo
There’s no denying that ‘Super’ came with its fair share of beauty looks from all the members but as far as memorable hairdos go, the traditional hairpiece or binyeo which Jeonghan had in his hair was one we’re filing away for the future.

17 / 26
Hoshi's statement eyeliner
We mean that literally. Take a closer look and you’ll notice the words, ‘So Hot’ neatly imprinted on Hoshi’s eyelid. The tongue-in-cheek look is a great match for the bold fashion ensembles he rocks in the ‘Hot’ music video.

18 / 26
Wonwoo's nose ring
Not all facial piercings have to be showy. This subtle one that Wonwoo wears for the ‘Hot’ music video adds just the right amount of flair to his earth-toned eyeshadow.

19 / 26
The8's distinct liner
Add verve to any make-up look by simply extending eyeliner down to the inner corners. The8 is living proof of this in the ‘Hot’ MV.

20 / 26
Mingyu's fluffy curls
Nothing complements a heartfelt love song quite like soft, brow-grazing curls that brims with layers and movement. We’re all for the hair change-up Mingyu showcased in ‘Darl+ing’.

21 / 26
S.Coups's single earring
The racing concept of ‘Anyone’ was made for S.Coups. To match his biker jacket, this wispy hair look—fringe falling over eyes and all—matched to this single dangling earring is the very picture of charisma on the group’s leader.

22 / 26
Jeonghan's wispy red hair
It’s evident that Jeonghan has had the most wide range of hair transformations throughout Seventeen’s career, but it’s this wispy, crimson look in their Japanese comeback for ‘Hitorijanai’ that surely did a number on his fans.

23 / 26
Dokyeom's sunset lids
When the group came home with ‘Hot’, they brimmed with certain confidence—one that could only come with the knowledge that this was their coolest concept yet. Then came darker, grungier transformations; some more impactful by sheer nature of their usually innocent vibe. Think dark orange shadows accenting the peepers and piercings, for main vocalist Dokyeom.

24 / 26
Wonwoo's boyish cut
A universal truth? This extremely short hair look on Wonwoo drew eyes all throughout the industry.

25 / 26
Jun's tightlined peepers
Jun made his mark in ‘Limbo’ with his dance moves and it’s clear this solo move was monumental for the Chinese member. Where we saw a different side to the main dancer, as his make-up artist drew in his waterline to define his eyes and drew attention to them with this slicked gel hair look.
26 / 26
Vernon’s band-aid
It’s clear that ‘Left and Right’ was made for Vernon—who pretty much helmed the section during the group’s ‘Be The Sun’ tour. And nothing better than his brown-blonde hairdo and air of indifference—delivered through that band-aid on his nose—to prove that.
