The time is nigh. October has come swinging in and we’re making a beeline straight for the second iteration of our multi-day landmark affair: Next in Vogue. It was just last year when we launched its inaugural edition. When we first pulled our community together to engage in a multitude of purposefully-curated activities and panel discussions—all surrounding the creative intersections between fashion, beauty, technology and culture. With Next in Vogue 2024 set to unfurl later this month at the iconic Capitol Theatre and The Capitol Kempinski Hotel, we’re decidedly honing in on one key idea: innovation.
To pick at the knowledge of our industry’s most curious minds, we’ll be speaking to a spanning fleet of global thought leaders and distinctive names during Next in Vogue Conversations. Over two days, some of the industry’s biggest key players will be lending their insights to a wide-eyed audience, discussing a bevy of topics surrounding a main theme, ‘AI & I’. Think incisive panels that consider both sides of the coin; on one hand, there will be discussions that delve deeper into how AI is revolutionising creative businesses, whilst on the other hand, an entire panel will surface the very prominent ethical dilemma of AI’s growing role in the creative industry.
But the fun of Next in Vogue extends beyond just the panels. A flurry of other activations will be happening simultaneously, such as beauty masterclasses in the Vogue Glam Room and the elaborately-curated Vogue Closet. Whilst the former will be homeground to valuable tips and tricks for the beauty aficionados, the latter will see an exclusive showcase of red carpet looks from renowned Asian designers—some of whom will be displaying their creations in Singapore for the first time. And in between the buzz of it all? Some might want to head to our Networking Lounge, where like-minded folk are welcome to mingle and connect over tipples and small bites. But we won’t just leave you to your own devices. Set to happen from 16 to 17 October, here’s 10 things you’ll want to look out for come Next in Vogue 2024.

Oscar-nominated actor Stephanie Hsu will be speaking at Next in Vogue Conversations
She needs no introduction. Whilst the Everything Everywhere All at Once actor is most known for her dual role as Joy/Jobu in the Oscar-winning film back in 2022, Stephanie Hsu’s filmography runs the gamut, from television series The Marvellous Mrs Maisel to 2023’s zippy comedy Joy Ride. And in less than a month, the Academy Award-nominated actor will be making her way to our parts of town, to be one of the many speakers at Next in Vogue Conversations. Where she’ll not only be discussing her dynamic career, but also indulge us in a dialogue surrounding the intersections between fashion and film. And she’s far from being the only one to join us at Next in Vogue. Some of our other exciting panelists include prominent names like award-winning contemporary artist Krista Kim and legendary couturist Gaurav Gupta.

A Vogue Closet exhibition of celebrity-worn red carpet pieces by Asian designers
Beyond the panels, this year’s Vogue Closet is bigger and better than ever. Three Asian designers—namely Gaurav Gupta, Chet Lo and Vietnamese designer Cong Tri—will be showcasing their celebrity-worn red carpet designs at Next in Vogue. So you can expect to marvel at the exact same pieces worn by stars like Beyoncé, Adele and Rosé of Blackpink.

Technology meets creativity in the Innovation Lounge
Remember Vogue Singapore’s Charli XCX cover shot by Nick Knight for our April issue earlier this year? Now imagine seeing our cover star come to life—with an immersive augmented reality experience optimised by the hottest gear of the moment: the Apple Vision Pro. Powered by Nomtek, our Innovation Lounge will allow its visitors to experience the electric energy felt on set together with the brat queen, as you experience exclusive behind-the-scenes footage from the shoot itself, as produced by SHOWstudio. And that’s not all. The Innovation Lounge is also where you’ll catch a glimpse of our one-of-a-kind carbon-capturing dress, created in collaboration with COzTERRA.
There’s also nothing quite like the AR mirrors from leading innovation incubators Institute of Digital Fashion—which will give you a chance to view industry-forward digital fashion pieces ‘up close’ and try on digital garments created in collaboration with brands such as H&M and Chet Lo.

Bid for a one-of-a-kind dress featuring COzTERRA's carbon-capturing tech
Last year, the science-backed company COzTERRA won the Vogue Singapore x BMW Innovation Prize for their innovative solution to combating climate change. Their tick? The ability to create materials that can absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere; a means to reduce CO2 pollution in the long run. To put their efforts into effect, we worked with Singaporean knitwear designer Bryan Yeo, a recent graduate from Central Saint Martins, to create a one-of-a-kind carbon-capturing dress. Drawing inspiration from the 1950s film and this year’s Next in Vogue gala theme Les Enfants Terribles, the final result of Yeo’s experimentation will be exhibited at Next in Vogue 2024, and will be up for bidding as well.

Experiential beauty masterclasses at your fingertips
Beauty enthusiasts, the Vogue Glam Room is back. This year, we’re looking at a jam-packed lineup of exciting masterclasses all the same. If you’ve always wanted to recreate a flouncy retro-inspired blowout, perhaps consider KEVIN.MURPHY’s hair curling session, led by renowned stylist Massimo Morello. For those who are always down to play with their make-up looks, then Shu Uemura’s holiday make-up masterclass is the one for you. And if you’re the skincare savant amongst your friends? Then there’s nothing quite like SK-II’s masterclass, where attendees will be discovering the brand’s LXP Ultimate Perfecting Series and have a go at its well-known Magic Scan, all guided by a knowledgeable brand educator from the skincare label itself.

More candid insights from a special edition of Vogue Uncut
A special edition of Vogue Uncut, Vogue Singapore’s podcast series, will be recorded during the two-day affair—featuring a lineup of candid conversations with personalities such as local singer-songwriter Shazza and Liz Bacelar, global tech innovation director at The Estée Lauder Companies. These episodes will be released over the following few weeks after Next in Vogue, so you can expect to have access to these insightful conversations surrounding fashion, art, music and technology—well beyond Next in Vogue.
