For the Artisanal issue, the spotlight falls on a new breakout star. At just 21, South Korean model Woo Yun Seo has already become something of a fashion chameleon, slipping convincingly into the worlds of some of luxury fashion’s biggest names while building an increasingly formidable runway résumé across Paris, Milan and more recently, the US with her New York Fashion Week debut.
Before stepping onto the international runway circuit, Woo was already carving out a presence through high-fashion editorials. Her global runway debut came during the spring/summer 2026 season and the pace has barely let up since.
She has even taken to the runway on home ground in Seoul, bringing her burgeoning international career back to the city where it began. Part of her appeal lies in that malleability—her striking features can embody the essence of a collection without disappearing beneath it, allowing her to shift easily between vastly different fashion universes.
It is a quality that has quickly made her one of South Korea’s buzziest models to watch, with the list of career firsts seemingly growing by the season.
For this cover shoot, that duality is channelled through a stripped-back exploration of craft and the senses. Woo is photographed against a series of textured backdrops, with painted interventions giving the images an almost handmade quality, while nostalgic paper stars bring a daintier touch.
In another frame, she is pictured within the sculptural form of an ear, an ode to one of our most instinctive sensory portals and to art’s ability to transport us somewhere entirely different through what we touch, see, hear and, ultimately, feel.
Woo may still be at the beginning of her modelling journey, but it is already unfolding at a remarkable speed. With international runways, editorial work and even couture under her belt, she is steadily making herself known worldwide. And judging by the ground she has already covered, there is sure to be plenty more to come.
