After the scorching heat of Paris men’s fashion week, the city barely had time to catch its breath before haute couture arrived—and brought with it a calendar as fervid as its heatwave. Temperatures have hit 38 degrees in the La Ville Lumière, but that did not stop our showgoers from hitting the streets in their best couture looks and filling the city with loud pops of colours and textures.
This season of haute couture runs from 6 to 9 July, and the calendar has set a particular kind of expectation. The fall/winter 2026 couture lineup features shows across 30 fashion houses, and all eyes are set on the sophomore couture collections of Matthieu Blazy and Jonathan Anderson for Chanel and Dior respectively—both having also had their hand in bridal couture with Dua Lipa and Taylor Swift’s weddings recently. Opening the week was Schiaparelli with ‘The Abyss’, a collection that saw Daniel Roseberry embrace uncertainty—this time of the unknown depths of the ocean—as a catalyst for reinvention. Staying true to that ethos, the house sent silicone sculptural gowns and latex corsets down the runway, pairing traditional haute couture techniques with synthetic materials in a bold new chapter of experimentation.

Dior presented the same afternoon, where Anderson transformed the mirrored halls of the Musée Rodin into a lush oasis of palm fronds and verdant foliage. The setting echoed the collection’s inspiration: the works of Lynda Benglis, the pioneering American sculptor renowned for her poured latex sculptures and sensuous, organic forms. The week will also be defined by a wave of creative transitions, with Pierpaolo Piccioli set to unveil his first haute couture collection for Balenciaga and Duran Lantink making his couture debut at Jean Paul Gaultier. Alongside these closely watched milestones, the calendar also anticipates the return of couture stalwarts such as Iris van Herpen, Robert Wun, Elie Saab and Giorgio Armani Privé.
Outside the shows, the street set has turned the pavements of Paris into a runway show of their own. Attendees arrived in outlandish ensembles of sculptural silhouettes adorned with intricate embroidery, cascading ruffles and extravagant plumes, matching the theatricality unfolding on the runways. The celebrity front rows have been no less considered—already spotted in the French capital are superstars Bad Bunny in a custom Schiaparelli silk suit embellished with lapel pins sporting the house’s signature details, Sabrina Carpenter draped in a white lace midi for her appearance at Dior, as well as Euphoria‘s Alexa Demie making her unexpected yet sensual entrance at Chanel.
Ahead, Phil Oh lenses the best street style ensembles spotted from the haute couture fall/winter 2026 shows in Paris.
