And so the fall/winter 2026 shows have tipped over onto the streets of Shanghai. With a mix of established and fresher designer names dotting the calendar, the city is definitely abuzz. This season’s schedule runs from March 25 to April 1 and brings together a strong mix of local mainstays and bigger global drawcards, all of which have only added to the sense of momentum around Shanghai Fashion Week right now.
Among the standout names on the calendar are Feng Chen Wang, who is marking the 10th anniversary of her eponymous label this year, and Susan Fang, whose whimsical, instantly recognisable universe has made her one of the most beloved Chinese designers on the circuit. Mark Gong, too, remains one to watch, with shows that have become fashion week talking points of their own and clothes worn by the likes of Jennie, Lisa and Rihanna.
Adding even more heat to the week is Maison Margiela, which is set to stage its fall 2026 show on April 1, followed by its Creative Laboratory exhibition from April 2 to 6, marking the house’s first such presentation in China. That alone has helped sharpen the feeling that Shanghai is becoming an increasingly important stop in the wider fashion conversation.
As for the street set, the mood across the city reflects that same charged energy, with showgoers stepping out in looks that felt every bit as striking as what’s happening on the runways. Below, Yumeng Zheng lenses the best street style moments from the city’s fall/winter 2026 shows.
