This year, Next in Vogue’s gala returned with an enthralling showcase, presenting four visionary designers. The evening opened with Singapore’s very own Grace Ling, whose one-of-a-kind designs set the stage for a journey through Southeast Asia’s finest talents: Brian Khoo of Malaysia, Phan Huy from Vietnam, and Indonesia’s Adeline Esther. Each collection was introduced by a model from their homeland, the same captivating faces featured on Vogue Singapore’s October cover.
Set in the grandeur of the Capitol Theatre, the audience sat in hushed anticipation. The lights dimmed, and the show began with dramatic flair—five models, dressed in Grace Ling’s futuristic silhouettes, ascended from beneath the stage to the pulse of Depeche Mode’s Enjoy the Silence. Their metallic makeup glimmered under the lights, accentuating the audacious and chic looks they wore, creating an entrance as striking as the designs themselves.
As the music shifted to an upbeat tempo, Brian Khoo’s collection swept down the runway, infusing the space with vibrant energy. His pieces—a kaleidoscope of bold shades and classic black and white—played with textures and fabrics, while dazzling embellishments stole the spotlight, adding an accent of opulence.
The mood then transitioned to a softer, more elegant ambiance as Phan Huy’s romantic collection was revealed. His designs, though avant-garde, maintained a delicate charm, featuring neutral tones and flowing silhouettes that felt both ethereal and refined, casting a spell of poised enchantment. As the closing segment began to unfold, the atmosphere took on a haunting beauty with the emergence of Adeline Esther’s designs. Her experimental silhouettes, crafted from metallic fabrics, moved like liquid on the runway, evoking a sense of otherworldly fluidity.
For the finale, the four cover models made their return, embodying the very essence of Next in Vogue—a celebration of regional artistry and the fusion of cultures. With one final, striking pose, they descended into the stage, marking the perfect end to yet another unforgettable show.
