Technology in the beauty sphere has evolved in spades—and it’s one we don’t seem to mind. Historically, beauty brands have had to operate and adapt to specific definitions of skin types, textures and tones, undoubtedly leaving numerous folks out in the dust. Many took a trial and error approach, in order to figure out what complemented their skin the best. However, with the integration of technologies like Augmented Reality (AR), brands and aesthetic clinics have been able to provide more intelligent approaches and specialised experiences for its customers. In the same vein, these technological advancements have also widened the net of treatments one can opt for, each one suited to one’s preferences and needs. With the beauty and aesthetics scene rapidly developing every day, 2026 beckons a wealth of experiences; think high-impact devices for improved scalp health; increasingly less invasive tweakments for lifting and skin rejuvenation; and recovery spaces in response to the zeitgeist’s marked interest in wellness.
To sieve out the most exciting of the lot, Vogue Singapore’s team ventures out into the beauty landscape, putting each of these procedures and addresses to the test. There are also a number of new addresses in town, including Sama Wellness, Singapore’s first wellness-oriented serviced residence. Within, it is the whole works, from a cold plunge pool to pampering treatments that will relieve any aches or pain points from your training in the day. Meanwhile, Kolorist is adding a little flavour to the Korean head spa experience, with a sensorial facial and deep scalp cleanse too. Bare Reset, $6,500+++ for 4 sessions, at Cleo Aesthetic
Who it’s catered for: Acne-prone or oily complexions
Vogue’s review: As anyone with oily skin would know, it’s always just been something I’ve had to live with—thanks to my pore structure, which is largely determined by genetics. Acne has been a persistent skin issue since I was a teenager, especially triggered by hormonal imbalances associated with PMOS (Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome).
As I was getting my 360-degree Skin Analysis done at Cleo Aesthetic, I was expecting to hear what I already knew: that I had large pores and overactive sebaceous glands. It was certainly the case, but what I did not expect was a clinical solution specifically targeting these conditions. Since I was at one of the three clinics in Singapore that uses an acne laser system, Dr Paul Yow introduced me to the Bare Reset, a four-session programme utilising the Accure laser. The 1726nm wavelength laser targets overactive sebaceous glands without damaging the surrounding skin tissue, which helps regulate oil production and improve skin clarity over time. Tailored to individual skin needs picked up by the scan, my own Bare Reset course included Hydrafacial, Rejuran and LED light sessions.
The two sessions I tried started out the same way—a thorough face cleanse, then a face capture to keep track of progress. In the first session, we started with the Hydrafacial Syndeo, a vortex-assisted delivery system that cleansed and exfoliated my skin. Glycolic and salicylic acids were applied to soften comedones and blackheads, before a careful manual extraction of the deeper comedones. After a soothing veil of hyaluronic acid, numbing cream was applied to prep for the Accure laser.
Having already been briefed about the process, I knew what to expect. Accure uses a proprietary ‘treat-to-temperature’ technology, where the system detects and monitors the skin and sebum temperature 3,600 times per minute to ensure precise, safe and effective treatment delivery to the targeted glands. After mapping out my face—to ensure each area gets just one pass of the laser—I was covered in blankets and an eye mask to calm my nerves. On my skin, I felt a cooling sensation, then a zap of the gland. The numbing cream helped to alleviate some of the pain, though the stinging sensation did become more pronounced in areas like the jaw and forehead, as well as anywhere with active acne. Perhaps most commendable of all was the attention to detail by the staff—the doctor made sure to check in every so often before proceeding, and remained encouraging throughout.
To help combat the inflammation in my face, Rejuran was administered in my second session. After learning about my fear of needles, the doctor made sure to use the thinnest one he had to target areas where scarring and acne were most prevalent. I observed that there was little to no pain, especially with the numbing cream at work. The treatment was immediately followed up with a soothing mask, as well as blue and red light therapy to bring down the swelling. In fact, the bumps went down completely within the next few hours.
With just two sessions of Accure, there has already been a visible improvement in my pore size. My T-zone and face oil up at a much slower pace—while I used to have to touch-up at least three times a day, I now only have to do it once. Breakouts have been minimal and controlled, where it used to be spread out and angry. Make-up sits nicer over my problem areas, even without a primer underneath. Perhaps my favourite part of all is the recovery process—the bumps and redness went down within a matter of hours, and my skin looked completely normal the next morning. Alongside the Rejuran treatment, my face looks glowy instead of greasy—and the uptick in compliments is proof enough.

3-in-1 Head Spa, $188++ for 75 mins, at Kolorist Singapore
Who is it for: Anyone looking to rejuvenate their scalp or is simply looking for a midday reset
Vogue‘s review: Leave it to the trusty professionals of Kolorist to take care of you. Melding three sensorial experiences into one, this signature Korean head spa experience is designed to cut through a hectic day’s affairs, and invite a slower state of mind into your being.
Bringing to the fore a combination of scalp health, facial balance and emotional restoration, the only words that were floating in my head once I entered were rest and relaxation. When I was seated, I was asked to choose from an extensive menu of beverages as my therapist began to lull me into a zen state with some aromatherapy and a much-needed shoulder massage. This was also when I was given a short scalp analysis session, where I could examine my scalp, and observe what needed to be addressed. In my case, the stresses of work life often contributes to a flaky and dry scalp, which the team at Kolorist was hoping to target.
The great thing I found about my experience at Kolorist was that I didn’t have to move in between rooms much for my head spa experience, allowing me to completely relax. Just next to my comfy armchair, the swivel chair was easily adjusted to immediately move into horizontal position for the next segment. After a restful eye mask and sensorial face spa ritual, it was time for an reinvigorating head wash that deeply cleansed my scalp: using specialised cooling tools, the signature waterfall feature—that was wondrously peace-inducing—and the hot steam ion treatment to stimulate circulation, I could sense that my scalp was getting the hydration it was desperately lacking.
What I found particularly convincing, was that the whole treatment experience, followed by the blow-dry session, was easily completed in less than 90 minutes. So for those who are sorely in need of some time out in the middle of the work day? This just might be the place to go.
