Technology in the beauty sphere has evolved in spades—and it’s one we don’t seem to mind. Historically, beauty brands have had to operate and adapt to specific definitions of skin types, textures and tones, undoubtedly leaving numerous folks out in the dust. Many took a trial and error approach, in order to figure out what complemented their skin the best. However, with the integration of technologies like Augmented Reality (AR), brands and aesthetic clinics have been able to provide more intelligent approaches and specialised experiences for its customers. In the same vein, these technological advancements have also widened the net of treatments one can opt for, each one suited to one’s preferences and needs. With the beauty and aesthetics scene rapidly developing every day, 2026 beckons a wealth of experiences; think high-impact devices for improved scalp health; increasingly less invasive tweakments for lifting and skin rejuvenation; and recovery spaces in response to the zeitgeist’s marked interest in wellness.
To sieve out the most exciting of the lot, Vogue Singapore’s team ventures out into the beauty landscape, putting each of these procedures and addresses to the test. Some of the newest options on the market include the divine sanctuary that is Capybara Bathing, the newest bathing house in town to relax and soothe the senses at. Meanwhile, for those who are prioritising scalp health, KOMO Wellness has just opened in Orchard Road, offering an in-depth scalp analysis and nine-step procedures to deeply cleanse the scalp, stimulate circulation, and lock in hydration. And as far as the aesthetics space is concerned, a non-invasive skin tightening and sculpting treatment is par for the course with IDS Clinic’s Onda Pro Face.

Onda Pro Face, $392.40 for 60 minutes at IDS Clinic
Who it’s catered for: Individuals looking to further define their facial contours, and/or are dealing with skin sagging.
Vogue’s review: The sheer number of positive reviews surrounding Onda meant that I entered the treatment room with high hopes. Regarded as the gold standard for skin tightening and lifting, IDS Clinic takes it a step further with Onda Pro Face, which is equipped with newfangled technology designed to sculpt even the most delicate areas such as the jawline and chin. I’m also told that the Onda Pro Face procedure utilises upgraded Precision-GigaWave (PGW) technology to facilitate more selective, deeper energy delivery into fat cells which allows for more noticeable results. More good things, all in all.
The treatment began with a thorough double cleanse. My therapist was cognisant of the fact that I was sensitive to heat, and thus I was instructed to inform her whenever the pressure and temperature got too much. Despite my considerably low tolerance for discomfort, I found that the entire process was very much manageable; imagine a warm wand gliding over your face, pushing and kneading at it in soothing motions to boost collagen production as well as firm lax areas. A mere hour later, I emerged with a noticeably smaller visage, though I am told that I would observe the best results in three weeks. There’s no need to set aside time to recover from its effects either—while it’s best not to apply make-up right away, you can pretty much go about your day post-Onda. In short? Its non-invasive nature paired with immediate, discernible results means you can add it to your rotation of maintenance procedures with no fuss or need for deliberation.

A bathhouse session, $50+++, at Capybara Bathing
Who it’s catered for: The tired soul in need of a pick-me-up
Vogue‘s review: If you’ve ever seen a capybara in the water, you probably know how relaxed they look. A session at newly-opened Capybara Bathing yields the same effect, courtesy of its thoughtfully-designed space.
Take one step inside, and it’s clear that every corner has been carefully considered to take you through a sensorial journey. From the soft, muted tones of the entrance lounge to the terracotta tiles in the bathing area, the team—comprising architects, an art collector and an object maker hailing from Sydney—has taken every effort to put your mind and body at ease.
Perhaps what I loved most about the main area is the skylight—sunlight peeks through just enough to warm up the space. A soundhealing session in the mineral bath was the first step of our bathing ritual, before a relaxing lounge in the cedar-scented sauna and an energising dip in the cold plunge to improve circulation and reduce inflammation. To rejuvenate my pores, a quick stop at the steam room, then a rinse and salt scrub to reset. Repeating the sequence—to reap the full benefits of contrast therapy—was easy enough, since each zone is conveniently located next to each other. And when it’s time to get dry, or to catch up with a friend, the hot lounge proved to be the perfect spot—complete with an ice scrub and tea to wind down with. By the time I ended up back at the locker room, I felt refreshed and ready to tackle the evening ahead. The vanity was the cherry on top, equipped as it was with skincare from BEDA and oils from Eartha.

Advanced Scalp Care treatment, $368+++, at KOMO Wellness
Who it’s catered for: The scalp care beginner
Vogue‘s review: With seemingly infinite options out there, it can be hard deciding which hair treatments to go for. While we might often pay attention to our tresses and ends, we can’t forget the most important part of haircare: our scalps. With that principle in mind, KOMO Wellness has opened its doors at Wheelock Place, backed by over 20 years of research and 30 clinical certifications and innovation patents.
I may have gone in with a vague understanding of the condition of my scalp, but the in-house AI-powered scalp analysis laid everything out. As my therapist explained the basics of scalp care to me—including the average hair growth cycle, the science behind follicle blockage and the most common causes of irritation—she also pinpointed my areas of concern. Since my scalp showed signs of sensitivity, we embarked on the Advanced Scalp Care treatment, a nine-step procedure that focuses on strengthening the scalp barrier.
Calming ambience aside, perhaps the most impressive thing about KOMO is its attention to detail. An in-house range of products is used across all their treatments, formulated with more than 50 proprietary naturally-derived ingredients to address every type of hair concern. For my own treatment, the KOMO oil control shampoo was first used to cleanse, followed by the exfoliating cream to remove buildup and clogs. A guasha and tan tou massage came next, helping to stimulate circulation and wake up the hair follicles. Throughout the entire procedure, my therapist explained every step clearly, and even shared hairwashing techniques and tricks with me for at-home maintenance later.
To lock in hydration, an ampoule was applied to my scalp with a nano spray, alongside bionic red light to stimulate the follicles. The session concluded with a blow-dry, before a final scan to see the effects. Sure enough, the results were immediate—all signs of redness were visibly calmed, and the blockage around my follicles dissolved. Every time I moved my head post-treatment that evening, the swish of my mane was proof that a good hair day really starts with healthy, pampered roots.
