At the Louvre in Paris earlier this year, we bore witness to Nicolas Ghesquière’s autumn/winter 2021 show for Louis Vuitton. The collection was a marriage of modernity and inspiration from ancient Greece, which imbued the show with a time-travelling aesthetic. Ghesquière’s silhouettes carried traces of toga-inspired draping and graphic motifs from his collaboration with the estate of Piero Fornasetti.
Tonight, Louis Vuitton returns to the Louvre to present its spring/summer 2022 offering. After dropping a number of pre-show teasers on Instagram themed around the concept of music and performance, we look forward to seeing what will soon be coming down the runway.
