Call it cliché, or perhaps just apt. Whatever the case, it certainly makes sense that pop supernova, Jisoo, has dropped a love song on Valentine’s Day. Titled ‘Earthquake’, it details the cyclone of emotions that come with a fledging romance. Think affection, anxiety, and even a healthy helping of angst, all of which is accompanied by stunning imagery brought to life by jaw-dropping sartorial ensembles as well as bewitching hair and make-up moments. The latter, in particular, proves to be a huge focus of the title track from Jisoo’s debut mini-album. Showcased via a series of high-octane looks, Jisoo is a vision throughout the four-minute long track. Highlights include waist-length spiral curls that pay homage to the voluminous perms of the ‘80s; an incandescent eyeshadow look featuring a helping of holographic shimmer; as well as a vampy black cherry lip.
Not forgetting, of course, the meticulous attention paid to Jisoo’s mane in particular—a welcome change from the sleek-straight iteration she regularly sports in her Blackpink ventures. In its place? High, butt-grazing ponytails, heavy-set bangs, and even delicate waves paired with a deep side part, complemented by a series of fun eyewear choices that further reflects her transition into a new era. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Below, Vogue Singapore’s curation of every enchanting look spotted in Jisoo’s ‘Earthquake’.

Finger waves, but make it modern
Jisoo presents a subtle yet dimensional take of this iconic hair look from the 1920s. Think looser, more relaxed curls, of which starts past the cheekbones rather than at the top of the head. This results in a more natural effect that works across a variety of occasions.

All that glitters
You can never have too much sparkle. To ensure that peepers are the central focus, hair is swept back into a sleek, polished ponytail that is glamorous and professional in equal measure. Boardroom chic, anyone?

Green is the new black
Or aquamarine, to be exact. Jisoo is living proof that a bold glitter eyeshadow look is just as wearable outside the holiday season by constraining the hue to her inner corners.

Pucker up
Make the switch over to the dark side—à la Jisoo—by opting for this season’s trending hue: black cherry. And to pack even more of a visual punch, go for one in a matte, budge-proof finish.

Dancing queen
Big hair, don’t care. The enigmatic star commemorates the OTT spirit of the ’80s with voluminous, larger-than-life curls, turquoise eyeliner, and a healthy smattering of vivid pink blush.
