Her blockbuster movie The Devil Wears Prada 2 has been good news for the global box office, and Emily Blunt arrived on the Met Gala 2026 red carpet in a similarly big budget look. The Oscar nominee hit the red carpet—accompanied by her co-star and brother-in-law Stanley Tucci and her sister Felicity Blunt—sporting a black tasselled Ashi Studios bodysuit, with a striking pearl body necklace by Japanese jeweller and pearl specialist Mikimoto, valued at an estimated US$500,000.

The Fashion Is Art dress code for 2026 saw many guests explore the concept of wearable art via sculptural breastplates and bodices, with nods to the works of British pop artist Allen Jones (hi, Kim Kardashian!), and the sculptor and Yves Saint Laurent collaborator Claude Lalanne (you too, Hailey Bieber!) Blunt’s interpretation was less literal but no less decadent: featuring a central 21.85-carat pear-shaped morganite, surrounded by 45.97 carats of diamonds, and strands of fine pearls that wrap and dress the body.

Perhaps Blunt took inspiration from her on-screen alter ego Emily Charlton, who can be seen wearing a Tiffany & Co. Blue Book high jewellery necklace featuring an an aquamarine of over 31 carats and diamonds in the Devil Wears Prada sequel right now. Celebrities dressed in fabulous jewels on the red carpet isn’t anything new, but the dalliance between jewellers and film remains an exciting new idea to watch. It’s not the first time Tiffany’s loaned its incredible jewels to film: there were the archival treasures it lent to Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein in 2025. On or off screen, it’s always a treat to see great jewellery.
