Buckle up as we enter fashion’s next chapter. After the monumental spring/summer 2026 season of change, it’s become clear that fashion is on the verge of change. What’s next is a generation of style deeply rooted in identity, intention and self-expression. This sentiment was evident on the runways thanks to jewellery, which emerged as one of the season’s most expressive—and coveted!—ways of wearing this new moment. In 2026, bijouterie is all about the individual and the emotional. It’s expressive, playful and deeply personal: we’ve seen the comebacks of initial letter designs, and statement pendants and chokers come to the fore so far. Now, charm jewellery is set to take the spotlight.
There is something intimate and special about charm accessories. The traditional form is a chain that you build a collection around. Whether’s that is a ritual of collecting charms from your travels around the world or receiving one as a gift on a special occasion, adding one more memory to that piece of jewellery always feels magical.

So what’s a girl got to do to be charmed? Look to Michael Rider’s debut at Celine, of course, where the designer’s new direction leaned heavily into charms. Dangling chillies, hearts, and talismans were layered across necklaces and bracelets as models strutted down the runway. More is more, it seems, and the jingling charms have become a cornerstone of Rider’s look for the French maison. The brand has even released Infinite Possibilities, a playful campaign to highlight the many ways to get the look. Charms on your wrist, charms on your neck, charms on your sleeve, charms on your bag, charms on your finger, charms on your belt loop, and even charms on the neck of your dog.
What is it about charms that has fashion so hooked? It might be its blend of nostalgia—for all things Y2K and indie; and today’s appetite for individual, punchy accessories that tell a story. A noisy bracelet decked in charms makes a style statement on the surface, yet it could also hold a multitude of memories and sentiment in each little jewel that makes up the whole. It’s a way to wear your life in a jewel—if only each charm could talk.
