Ciao, Milan. And just like that, the spring/summer 2025 calendar has swept through the Italian fashion capital—and we’re taking the next flight out to Paris. By way of a succinct recount, Milan made a case for feminine ease. Like Kim Jones’s sheer skirts and buttery soft clutches for Fendi, the luscious materiality at Jil Sander, or the seamless wearability of everything on Gucci’s runway. There were also the moments that left the industry breathless in its wake. Case in point? The Prada show, where Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons yet again delivered a stunning collection that derived pleasure from experimenting with our sartorial future, whilst playing with key pieces from the house’s rich archives.
Yet the magic is hardly contained to the runway. With each passing season, the various luxury houses seem to put increasing importance on its audiences; the lucky few that have earned a spot in the respective venues, to preview the collections first-hand. Whilst most of the crowd is often a perfected mix of industry folk and esteemed VVIPs, it is ultimately its celebrity clientele that often garners the most attention outside of the shows. And as far as star power goes, it was no different in Milan this season, with Gucci and Prada leading the charge.
At the former, newly-minted ambassador BTS’s Jin made his fashion week debut, alongside house front row familiars, like Daisy Edgar-Jones, Julia Garner and Hanni of New Jeans. Meanwhile, Prada welcomed Enhypen back to the circuit, where they were joined by the likes of Letitia Wright, Simone Ashley, Karina of Aespa, Li Xian, Ella Purnell, and Jaehyun of NCT. Elsewhere, Madonna stole the show at Dolce&Gabbana, and some of the buzziest names as of late—like Jacob Elordi, Olympian Imane Khelif and I.N from Stray Kids—were present at Bottega Veneta.
