In 2021, Bottega Veneta introduced its Bottega for Bottegas initiative to spotlight workshops and studios that share the house’s dedication to craft. This year, the Italian leather house is introducing its 2025 edition with the aperitivo hour as the focus, framed around objects designed for hosting and the rituals that come with it.
This year’s edit is built around a concise set of pieces. It includes: silver-plated glasses by Ganci Argenterie from Milan, sterling silver cocktail sticks with knot detailing by New York-based silversmith Heath Wagoner, and a hand-bound notebook by Venetian craftsman Paolo Olbi—somewhere to jot down your drink recipes or even late-night reflections.

The cities of Milan, New York and Venice behind this year’s curation align with key chapters in Bottega Veneta’s story, tracing its roots and the way it carved an international footprint. Founded in Vicenza in 1966, Bottega Veneta has long been closely connected to Venice, drawing from the city’s environment and its history of cross-cultural encounters—both of which have informed design signatures such as the house’s knot motif and the rippling glass of its fragrance bottles inspired by Murano glassblowing.

That outward-looking streak followed soon after the brand was founded, with the opening of Bottega Veneta’s first store in New York on Madison Avenue in 1972. There, the brand reached new levels of cultural recognition and built formative ties with the creative scene. And today? Milan is where it all comes together, now home to the brand’s headquarters and its runway presentations after the design office moved from Vicenza in the late 1990s.

These three participating craftspeople each bring a specific practice to the project, with a clear throughline of technique and detail. The focus remains on the initiative’s goal: giving smaller-scale workshops support and global platform to showcase heritage crafts. With aperitivo hours setting the tone for elegant evenings, this year’s selection thoughtfully celebrates a beloved staple of Italian culture and Bottega Veneta’s love for fine design and craftsmanship.
