Avène Ultra Fluid Protector SPF 50
Tinted formulations are not my immediate sunscreen of choice, but Avène certainly makes a great case for it with its newest Ultra Fluid line. Three options sit on the roster—but surprisingly enough, it’s the tinted Perfector that has me convinced. The new line has been designed with a focus on TriAsorB™, the first organic filter that shields not merely against UVB and UVA light, but HEV Blue Light as well, which is perpetually being fed to most of us as we stare into our digital screens. Yet the Perfector comes two-fold, with its tinted formula that feels so lightweight during application, smoothening and evening out my skin tone on the go. For easygoing, foundation-less days, we’re deeming this bad boy a winner. —Azrin Tan, senior digital writer

Huda Beauty Lip Contour Stain
Easily one of Huda Beauty’s most covetable product. Lining my lips with this felt like one of those water-stain markers I used to have as a kid, only now it was about staying perfectly on the lines. But even if you do, the formula makes it easy for errors. Despite a matte finish, this lip stain and liner hybrid felt soothing on the lips—thanks to its formula of organ oil. The handy product comes with a dual-sided applicator—one for tracing your lips with a felt tip and the other, a lip stain that blends out easily. As for its claim for all-day wear? The colour payoff lasted longer than a few hours but I would recommend for a mid-day touch-up especially after a meal. —Janice Sim, digital editor

The intensity is amped up with the latest rendition of the Byredo Blanche Absolu de Parfum, which is touted as a “celebration of clean skin, soft linens, and the quiet moments that ground us.” Expect a more nuanced, powdery scent than before, and while rose absolute and violet still come through strongly, it is quickly tempered by an intriguing composition of musk and cashmere wood that reflects a more contemporary take on traditional floral perfumes. Another marked—and welcome—change? A new bottle cap which pays homage to traditional Japanese wood-burning techniques. Paula's Choice 5% Vitamin C Sheer Moisturiser SPF 50
We love a multi-tasking product that does it all. An SPF 50 for ultimate sun protection (given the scorching sun rays these days), a moisturiser to protect and nourish and last but not least, a touch of Vitamin C (5% to be specific). The formula is also sheer, sans the white cast and penetrates the skin easily. I love how it’s hydrating and enables a healthy glow and shine to my base. Whilst it is made for all skin types, my oily skin did need a setting powder to matte down the overall visage. For those with skin that fall in that same category, it’s also best to allow some time for the product to seep in before starting on your make-up application. —Janice Sim, digital editor
