Full coverage, blurring and highly pigmented. The Hourglass Vanish Airbrush Concealer makes many bold claims, and they’re all true. Its formula sets down to a soft matte that still looks like skin, making it ideal for both under-eyes and spot concealing. For more stubborn areas, I find that letting the concealer sit for 20 to 30 seconds before blending allows the pigment to grip the skin more effectively, delivering more coverage without sacrificing that seamless finish. Once it sets, it stays put—even through humidity and long days. Being a full-coverage concealer, you’d expect it to feel suffocating and heavy on the skin, but it diffuses imperfections while feeling like nothing at all. It’s safe to say that this high-shine lip serum has gone viral for all the right reasons—its supremely-hydrating formula; the wearability of its varied shade range; and most notably, its innovative applicator shaped like a plush, bouncy donut. The latter is instrumental in granting a smooth, even finish, making it a game-changer amongst other similar options in the market. The inclusion of polypeptides, argan ceramides, and polyglutamic acid ensures long-term hydration, sealing the deal on its cult-classic status. But I’ve found that in this lip gloss from Makeup By Mario, the meticulously crafted beauty brand of make-up artist Mario Dedivanovic. Initially unassuming, this is a lip gloss formulated with care. It applies comfortably, lending a deliciously glass-like smoothness without being sticky in the least. As with every Charlotte Tilbury formulation, the colour payoff is instant but for someone with chapped lips, I found it helpful to prep my lips with a balm before application of this lipstick, despite the product gliding on creamier than most matte formulas. One swipe of Fenty Beauty’s Hot Cheeks Velour Blushlighter in Cherry Pop was all it took; in an instant, a gorgeous shade of burgundy lights up my cheeks—subtle shimmers and all. Beyond proving to be a spectacular multi-tasker, this silky-smooth pressed powder also promises a velvety, pigmented finish akin to using a cream blush, but without the stickiness.
