Urban Jungle Saké Bomb Gel Cleanser
Over the years, I’ve found that not all gentle cleansers are born equal. Many times, I’m left feeling like the heavy layers of make-up I wear on a daily basis don’t completely come off—yes, even with a double cleanse—and I would prefer something more exfoliating. Yet perhaps Urban Jungle’s Saké Bomb Gel Cleanser meets me in the middle. With its gel texture, two pumps lather up into a formidable formulation that lays my mien bare (in the best way possible). Enriched with fermented saké and AHA, my skin feels thoroughly clean and deeply exfoliated yet the saké inclusion ensures it remains soft and refreshed. No complaints here, with its vegan and cruelty-free tag as well. —Azrin Tan, senior digital writer

Girls don’t want boyfriends. They want four stunning pots of shimmering powders all in a single palette. Specifically one from Chanel. I love a good multi-use beauty product any day. So it doesn’t hurt that Chanel’s Jeux de Lumières palette—co-created by Ammy Drammeh, a member of the Comètes Collective—serves as both eyeshadow and highlighter. For someone that takes to nude and softer pinks in my eye make-up, the four shades of pink coral, rosy gold, pinkish silver and copper gold each hit the brief upon application, whether used singularly or blended together. — Janice Sim, digital editor

Chanel The Massage Accessory No 1 De Chanel
A new era of facial tools beckons. Leading the charge? Chanel, naturally. Developed by the maison’s adept facialists, this bad boy is meticulously designed to enhance the effects of the No 1 De Chanel skincare range. Its notched edges, for one, are integral in the enhanced absorption of product, which thus results in the diminishing of large, extended pores. Its V-shaped end, on the other hand, is proficient at smoothing out wrinkles. And last but not least, its concave side bolsters blood circulation for glowing, more radiant skin than before. Use it continuously for two weeks to observe the best results, as well in tandem with other stellar picks from Chanel’s skincare collection. One of their two newly unveiled Eye Color Quads, the Olive Smoke eyeshadow palette unites shimmering shades of champagne and peach alongside darker, dramatic greens. These wearable hues can be built up from a subtle statement to the perfect, indie sleaze-esque smokey eye. Chloé Atelier des Fleurs Orchidée de Minuit Eau de Parfum
To be honest, I never quite believed in the idea of having a signature scent—I’ve always thought of fragrances as tools to create a specific atmosphere, over capturing or expressing one’s personality—but I think I’ve just found mine. A fairly recent addition to Chloé’s unisex Atelier des Fleurs collection, I was immediately drawn to its spicy floral warmth, which feels dominating and mysterious, yet with a tiny hint of sweetness. Leaning a tad feminine, notes of orchid and jasmine are grounded in a dark, musky blend of rum and patchouli, lending the fragrance an air of quiet boldness. The sweeter vanilla notes become more apparent throughout its wear, leaving behind a beautiful, alluring aroma that completes the story of this scent. — Gladys Yeo, digital intern

Its release also heralds an all-new breakthrough for the brand, with Red 0 being an exclusive vegan replacement to carmine. Aromatica Rosemary Root Enhancer
I tend to stray away from most leave-in hair products (especially ones applied directly to the scalp) as they often give me mini bumps along my hairline. Not only does this root enhancer decidedly not have that effect, it also leaves a cooling sensation on my scalp that I’ve come to really enjoy during the application process. As for living up to its claims, this rosemary-infused serum is said to reduce hair-fall by strengthening the roots. I have definitely noticed less hair clogging the drain during my showers after a couple weeks of use, but the more apparent benefit is how my scalp feels less tight and dry—and far more nourished. — Chandreyee Ray, associate lifestyle editor

Jung Beauty 7 Second Instant Nourish Water Treatment
There’s a reason Jung Beauty’s 7 Second Instant Nourish Water Treatment has earned itself cult status. Now enriched with camellia flower oil for an added layer of hydration and moisture retention, its latest edition has made me something of a convert. A weightless liquid conditioner, its slick formulation feels like a dream to massage into tresses and the scalp, its initial warming effect slowly overtaken by a minty cool finish as it works to repair hair cuticles and clarify the scalp. Since beginning usage on every alternate wash, I’ve found that my mane feels lighter, healthier and bouncier; my shorter strands falling into all the right places with minimal styling in the morning. A surefire result of its powerhouse ingredient list; think salicylic acid to maintain the scalp’s sebum production; panthenol to moisturise and smoothen hair texture; and a 7 amino acid complex that prevents hair thinning and improves elasticity. Imagine all this, and that wonderful floral scent which instantly rouses the senses. — Azrin Tan, senior digital writer

Philips Hairdryer 8000 Series
You’ve heard of hair dryers that boast reduced heat damage, but what about a drying gizmo that helps enhance strand hydration? The newly-launched Philips Hairdryer 8000 Series does precisely this thanks to its inclusion of new tech that releases 200 million negative ions and water ions with each use. This, thus, allows it to generate up to 1,000 times the moisture content of traditional dryers, resulting in shinier, glossier hair with sustained use. And while results weren’t discernible to the naked eye within my two weeks of use, my mane did feel considerably softer to the touch. Another plus point: its compact size, which makes it a breeze to travel with. — Emily Heng, associate beauty editor
