Zoë Kravitz doesn’t do fashion moments by halves. (Hello Met Gala!) Lately, she’s been getting into character for her red-carpet appearances. Kravitz’s long-awaited portrayal of Catwoman in the new Batman film will finally hit screens next month, but while we wait, she’s been treating us to multiple Selina Kyle-inspired looks on the press tour.
Zoë looked every inch the leading lady in a Saint Laurent leather trench coat belted over a fishnet top in Paris yesterday. Along with its Catwoman connotations, Kravitz’s outfit had a distinct air of The Matrix about it. She follows in the footsteps of Kim Kardashian, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Hailey Bieber and Julia Fox by joining the leather coat brigade, but added sunglasses for extra Trinity appeal.
Prior to this darkly seductive photo op in front of the Eiffel Tower, Zoë wore an elegant structured dress from The Row’s pre-fall 2022 collection and a smouldering off-the-shoulder knitted look from Khaite for her press junkets. Neither was a huge departure from the style of her Gotham City character in the BTS pictures released from the superhero movie.
What can we expect next from the star and her stylist Andrew Mukamal? Our bets are on more Saint Laurent. As the brand’s beauty ambassador, she’s loyal to creative director Anthony Vaccarello’s ready-to-wear, and is never afraid to take style risks by wearing his more directional pieces. Kravitz is yet to try Saint Laurent’s spring/summer 2022 platforms, but maybe her Catwoman promo duties will call for a skyscraper moment? Tune back in to find out.
