It used to be that metal jewellery would be worn only in shades that matched the wearer’s skin tone. Then came a wave of mixed and matched liberation when stacking and layering gold and silver colours became popular. Now, there’s a fresh crop of designs that harmoniously combine these colours as two- or even three-tone jewellery. White, yellow and rose gold—solid, plated or finished in a similar sheen—mingle easily with each other, just as they do with sterling silver, vermeil and even blackened gold.
Here, Vogue’s edit of the best two-toned jewellery and beyond that mix different shades of gold.
The March ‘Dualism’ issue of Vogue Singapore is available for sale online and in-stores.
