Fashion and music have always gone hand in hand, so it should come as no surprise that the greatest outdoor music party of the year is also home to the best of festival fashion. Headlined by Lana Del Rey in a glittering pale blue dress, weekend one of Coachella 2024 took off in full swing in California’s Colorado desert on Friday.
On the stage, the likes of Shakira, Sabrina Carpenter, Young Miko, Suki Waterhouse, Chlöe, Peggy Gou, Tinashe and K-pop boy band ATEEZ each brought their own in true Coachella tradition. Especially eye-catching ensembles included Shakira’s colourful mesh minidress that lit up the music festival’s iconic main stage and Sabrina Carpenter’s flirty gold miniskirt set that shone against the valley sunset during her debut performance of her new single ‘Espresso’.
Off the stage, models Alessandra Ambrosio, Jasmine Tookes, and Shanina Shaik hit the desert in practical festival gear. Megan Fox and Charli D’Amelio embraced Coachella’s boho roots with cowboy hats and bandanas, while Hailey Bieber opted for a sporty twist on festival style with a jersey and a pair of sneakers.
As the music festival forges ahead, more memorable looks can be expected from Sunday headliner and song and style provocateur Doja Cat as well another lineup of fashion-forward performers, including Le Sserafim, J Balvin, Ice Spice and Reneé Rapp.
