There’s nothing quite like the saccharine feeling of ringing in December—as we clear out our calendars, only to fill the dates with festive celebrations and exciting travel plans. And while we look towards jet-setting off to our favourite destinations, one cult-favourite franchise has in turn, landed on our shores. Café Kitsuné, at last, finds its home in Singapore—in the heart of the city that is Capitol Building. Having established a strong presence in cities like Paris, Tokyo and Seoul, Café Kitsuné remains to be the trustworthy spot to get a cuppa fix and a charming photo op.
In other news? Vogue Singapore took the all-new Range Rover out for a quick spin while across the foreign waters, Six Senses dreams up a stunning new property in London. Lovers of cognac will also be pleased to witness a groundbreaking innovation, titled The Drop from Louis XIII. This will be the brand’s first ever wearable bottle, which holds 1cl of Louis XIII’s uniquely aromatic cognac. Poised for today’s new generation of individuality and self-expression, the highly-anticipated launch will see an immersive and experiential pop-up at Design Orchard.
Café Kitsuné opens in Singapore
There are cafés and then there is Café Kitsuné—an iconic address for anyone who visits Paris and Tokyo on a regular. Now, embarking for the first time in Singapore, the famed franchise finds itself in Capitol Building. Upon entrance, it’s easy to recognise the cult-favourite aesthetic of Café Kitsuné—first by the oak wood at the entrance then the luscious foliage peppered around the space. Despite its placement in a shopping mall, the place has been fashioned to mirror its famed international outposts—especially with the inclusion of the alfresco seating replete with the snazzy sign.
As far as the menu goes, most of the beverage mainstays from the café can be found, fuelled by specialty coffee beans procured from Brazil and Guatemala. The pastries that are served daily come from a local bakery exclusive to Café Kitsuné Singapore, including an intricate Yuzu Pistachio Strawberry Entremet as well as Paris-Brest, a choux pastry piped with hazelnut praline. Paying tribute to the local palate, a few of the sweet treats here are given the Singaporean touch—like the Chili Chocolate Tart spiked with a hint of spice within the decadent sphere. For those with a savoury tooth, look towards the sandos to sate your appetite. Of course, while you’re there, don’t forget to pick up one of Café Kitsuné Objets—the brand’s longstanding collection of tableware, ready-to-wear and accessories. One thing’s for sure: it would be hard to leave empty-handed.

The New Range Rover arrives in Singapore
The New Range Rover is a behemoth of beauty. It’s the kind of car, which in all its sleek metalwork glory, will turn heads whether you’re cruising along Orchard Road or deftly navigating the laneways in Joo Chiat. For starters, the New Range Rover is one of the biggest cars on the road. It boasts seven seats for the first time in Land Rover history, clad in the supplest leather that adds to the overall opulence of the spacious cabin.
The fifth-generation luxury SUV has nifty features that will tantalise just about anyone—a touch of your fingers along the backseat touchpad will allow the sunroof to open or shut to your desired preference. Touch screen televisions in the back and massage chairs keep riders soothed and entertained, while a newfangled Active Noise Cancellation technology delivers one of the most hushed cabins on the road. It cleverly uses microphones on the outside of the car and headrest speakers on the inside to create personal quiet zones for each occupant—akin to your AirPods. The Cabin Air Purification Pro in the New Range Rover also reduces odours and viruses, while enhancing air quality within. Complete with Range Rover’s effortless drive on any surface, seamless manoevring, and overall renowned capabilities, you’d be hard-pressed to decide whether it’s more fun to be in the driver or passenger seat.
