From Limoges in France to Barcelona, Dubai, Bangkok, India and Singapore—the places that jewellery designer Véronique Manchharam has lived in and her travels around the world inform the voyageur’s free spirit of her jewellery brand Bohème by Véro. Singapore’s orchids, the Amazon’s lush landscapes and the golden sands of Rajasthan are just some of the inspirations that Manchharam has translated into her jewels.
Manchharam launched Bohème by Véro in 2013, with sustainability woven into its founding philosophies and values. The brand uses ethically sourced gems and recycled metals like brass and sterling silver, which mitigates new mining and reduces the brand’s carbon footprint. Travel has also broadened Manchharam’s and the brand’s worldview, combining philanthropy with design. The label’s Maasai Mara collection, for example, supports local charities at the Enkopiro camp in Kenya; and the brand works closely to support the Permata Hati orphanage in Bali.
The unique style of Bohème by Véro jewels have made their way, fittingly, abroad from Singapore to Hollywood. Film and music icons like Sharon Stone, Laura Dern, Rosamund Pike, Doja Cat and Keke Palmer have worn Manchharam’s designs. Bohème by Véro has made headways in fashionable collaborations too: a capsule collection of amethyst and onyx designs with Saudi Arabian designer Yousef Akbar in 2022; and a partnership with Lisa Von Tang in 2017 that combined both brands’ passions for sustainability and travel.
This year, Bohème by Véro is adding one more fashion partnership to its list: a tie-up with Vogue Singapore on an exclusive brooch. Crafted in 18-carat gold-plated recycled brass, the brooch design features individually sculpted letters with natural contours that spell out Vogue. It reflects the jewellery brand’s design language, which draws from silhouettes and forms found in nature—a style strongly evident, as well, in the Amazonia collection.

The Vogue brooch is decorated with natural pearls and cubic zirconia, a subtle touch of glamour and beauty. As befits the wide, creative world of brooch styling these days, this exclusive piece has also been designed to be worn in multiple ways: on knitwear or denim to elevate a look, on accessories like a cap or scarf to make a statement, and even as a hair accessory.
To celebrate the launch of this collaboration, Vogue Singapore is offering the first 20 members to join Club Vogue from 20 July to 31 August their own limited edition Bohème by Véro x Club Vogue brooch as a welcome gift. The brooch will also be available for purchase from Bohème by Véro.
