When it comes to destination fashion shows, there is nothing quite like the industry’s biggest luxury brands showcasing a spin on house favourites, intricately intertwined with the world’s most artistic and culturally rich cities. Earlier this year, Louis Vuitton’s Cruise 2025 runway show in Barcelona, Spain, was one such spectacle. This international approach is not new to the maison; to date, it has hosted one-of-a-kind experiences in destinations such as the Niterói Contemporary Art Museum in Rio and the Salk Institute for Biological Studies in San Diego, all bound by creative director Nicolas Ghesquière’s admiration for architectural marvels.

This year marks a decade of Ghesquière’s tenure at Louis Vuitton, and the Cruise line up was unveiled at the UNESCO World Heritage site, Park Güell, on the scenic hills of El Carmel, Barcelona. Fast forward six months, and 30 designs from the line-up made their way to Singapore as part of an intimate trunk show. The third major event hosted locally by Louis Vuitton—following its spring/summer 2021 spin-off show at the ArtScience Museum and its spring/summer 2023 trunk show at the Pasir Panjang warehouse—it cements the brand’s popularity on our shores. Hosted at The Singapore Edition, the collection’s trip to Singapore remains true to Ghesquière’s appreciation for architecture and design.

Founded by Ian Schrager, who is also notably the founder of Studio 54, the hotel features a beautiful spiral staircase and a serene, all-white interior. Juxtaposed against this is a line up showcased in a chandelier-lit ballroom, modelled by local, regional, and international faces, bringing a distinct Singaporean flair. Split into two shows, the event was graced by celebrities such as Fann Wong and Christopher Lee, as well as VIP clientele and influencers.
