The Balenciaga/Adidas collection has finally dropped and it is set to be a fashion favourite, combining the bold silhouettes of Balenciaga with the sporty ethos of Adidas. First seen on the runway of Balenciaga’s resort 2023 showing—presented on the trading floor at the New York Stock exchange—the campaign for this collection satirises the corporate grind.

Shot by photojournalist Joshua Bright and photographer Chris Maggio, the campaign features various personalities such as Isabelle Huppert, Han So Hee, Jermell Charlo and Bella Hadid. A considered continuation of conversations around consumerism and capitalism sparked by Demna the season prior, the images were shot against the backdrop of a high rise corporate building; unexpected, tongue-in-cheek and intentionally dreary.

This new collection sees the sportswear elements of Adidas infused into the designs of Balenciaga, from oversized tracksuits reimagined as business attire to high-heeled Panta shoes. The fan-favourite Hourglass bag as well as other accessories such as caps, calfskin backpacks and duffle bags have all received the three stripe treatment making them perfect everyday pieces. Iconic sneakers such as the Triple S and Stan Smiths also see a striking revamp, with a change in materials and the incorporation of a worn-out effect. Demna hasn’t forgotten about the smaller details, either. The famous Adidas logo finds it self on T-shirts, jeans and jewellery as a statement finishing touch.
