Awards season is positively packed this year. The 2024 Emmy Awards, delayed from September last year, just concluded today. And it’s hot off the heels of the Golden Globes, the Governors Awards, the Critics Choice. All this in little more than a week. The stars and celebrities gracing these events, however, seem amply prepared to turn out great looks back to back.
We’ve seen a lot of classic, timeless elegance. Perhaps it’s the influence of quiet luxury hitting the red carpet—with fewer outré choices this year. That sentiment seems to be carrying over to the stars’ choices of jewellery too.
Save for a handful of big, standout pieces—American jeweller Tiffany & Co. is on a roll this season, with Jean Schlumberger designs having a real carpet moment—the approach to jewels seems to be about the sum of parts rather than a single piece that steals the spotlight. Modest necklaces and earrings (well, relatively) complemented with rings, for example. And not always matching parure pieces from the same collection; see Lux Pascal, for one, who matched floral motif Fiorever earrings and rings with a winding Serpenti bracelet from Bulgari. The trend takeaway: more freedom, perhaps, to mix and match the pieces you already have and let the whole of the outfit speak for itself.
Here, Vogue Singapore‘s pick of the 18 best jewellery as seen at the 2024 Emmy Awards.
