It’s always great fun when a new film has a strong visual theme—and in the case of Wicked, which hits cinemas in Singapore today, green and pink are the order of the day. The signature green of Elphaba, the Wicked Witch of the West, and the pink of Glinda the Good have already hit peak merchandise and collaboration. There’s an Emerald City tote bag by Marc Jacobs, a green Apple iMac, Stanley tumblers, makeup collections by r.e.m beauty and M.A.C., Crocs clogs, and much more.
There are options on the jewellery front, too. For a truly witchy aesthetic, look to Pyrrha’s official collaboration with Wicked. The star designs are a series of lockets, offered in sterling silver or 14K gold, or strung with freshwater pearls. In search of higher-end designs? Consider, then, the Los Angeles fine jewellery brand Sydney Evan, which has released a Wicked collection with 99 styles.

Official collaboration or not, coloured gemstones are wonderfully placed to lean into the moment’s fever for green and pink jewels. But quite unlike the capital centrality of the Emerald City, there’s a much wider world of options to delve into. Green stones like peridot, tourmaline, malachite, prasiolite, tsavorite and jade open up a much broader range of options. As for pink stones, though the usual suspect is pink sapphires, there’s also a swathe of pink and rose quartz, opal, mother-of-pearl, spinel, topaz, and—if you’re looking to really splash out on something rare and covetable—pink diamonds and padparadscha sapphires.
Here, Vogue’s edit of jewellery set with a variety of green and pink gemstones to know.
