With the current style landscape constantly moving through fast-changing trend cycles, there is a growing pull towards clothing that feels more intentional and crafted to last. That interest has already made itself clear in the secondhand market, with vintage and thrift stores continuing to draw crowds and, in some cities, becoming a stop of their own. As fashion continues to look inwards, there is also something appealing about finding pieces that feel more personal. Archival pieces are not always easy to come by, with some spending months or even years hunting down a single runway item. Collector culture plays into that too, with many building their own worlds around a particular brand, designer or era, slowly shaping a wardrobe with their own curated taste behind it.
And there is no better time to celebrate pre-loved and vintage designs. In line with our April Retrofuture issue which looks to the lasting pull of the past, the inaugural edition of Vogue Vintage Market arrives as a curated one-day marketplace experience. Taking place on 16 April at the Club Vogue Lounge in The Mill, Vogue Vintage will begin with a VIP preview from 12pm to 2pm, before opening to the public from 2pm to 8pm. Hosted across the lounge and a dedicated gallery takeover, the event doubles as a space for shopping and storytelling, while creating a space that feels rooted in the fashion community.

At the centre of it all are over a wide selection of statement finds and timeless staples, including an array of designer ready-to-wear pieces from Alexander McQueen to Givenchy, and accessories like jewellery and cult-favourite bags. The one-of-a-kind experience is presented in partnership with Hotlotz, Vogue Singapore’s official pre-loved partner and Southeast Asia’s leading auction house. Established in 2015, Hotlotz is known for its work across the secondary market, with categories from luxury fashion, jewellery and watches, Asian works of art and lots more. In addition, there will also be a series of community-led racks, bringing together pieces from the private collections of Vogue Singapore’s Editor-in-Chief, Desmond Lim, as well as a curated circle of fashion collectors—offering distinct collections that reflect each one’s individual style and approach to dressing.
As shoppers grow more interested in longevity, craftsmanship and the stories behind what they buy, the resale space has become increasingly exciting, especially when it comes to pieces that are harder to find and worth holding onto. A portion of proceeds from Vogue Vintage Market will also go towards the Vogue Foundation, which supports emerging talent in Southeast Asia.
