As we leave the celebratory high of the year-end behind and settle into the normalcy of January, you might be tempted to review the list of 2022 resolutions you had zealously drawn up a while ago. Or perhaps you haven’t made any this year—if there’s one thing you’ve learnt from 2021, it’s that things don’t always go according to plan.
Still, there is nothing more delightfully human than our desire to pen down elaborate roadmaps for self-improvement at the beginning of each calendar year. If you’re looking for some resolution inspiration or just solidarity in your journey to a better self, we asked our editorial team to share their own hopes and plans for the year, along with all the things they accomplished in the previous year that fills them with joy.
If any of these resolutions resonate, feel free to add them to your own list. After all, there is never a bad time to make a positive change—who says it has to be on the first day of the year?

At the end of 2021, I am proud of myself for: bravely putting one foot in front of the other through the two miscarriages I had in the span of nine months, which was devastating on all levels. Grief will stress test every area of your life and separates the wheat from the chaff, so to speak. I’m proud of myself for still finding moments of joy in my every day.
In 2022, I’d like to work on: inviting ease into my life and aiming to live more in the present.
