Since the very start of 2025, following the announcement of her engagement to Tom Holland, the world has been waiting with bated breath to see Zendaya in a wedding dress. Which designer will the bride-to-be choose? Well, now we have an answer—kind of.
A24 has now released the first two trailers for her next movie: The Drama, a turbulent melodrama following a couple whose wedding week goes off the rails. Co-starring none other than Robert Pattinson, written and helmed by Dream Scenario director Kristoffer Borgli, and also featuring Alana Haim, Succession and Materialists’s Zoë Winters, Kinds of Kindness’s Mamoudou Athie and Challengers’s Hailey Benton Gates, the first footage promises pre-nuptial dissonance, a very awkward wedding photo shoot, explosive blow outs and, in one shot, blood pouring out of Pattinson’s nose and down his wedding suit.
And then there’s the dress: a strappy, wasp-waisted, floor-length, white sleeveless number with a low back, accessorised with delicate ringlets and a full veil. Could it be a clue to Z’s ultimate choice? Only time will tell.
It’s a wonder, really, that she even has the time to get married—alongside The Drama, 2026 will see the actor take centre stage in the long-awaited third (and possibly final) season of Euphoria in April; Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey and the next Spider-Man, both in July and alongside Holland; and the conclusion of the Dune franchise come December. In the meantime, save the date for The Drama—3 April—and keep your eyes peeled for more intel on Zendaya’s actual nuptials.
