It has been a whirlwind year for 18-year-old actress and singer-songwriter Olivia Rodrigo. Her critically acclaimed debut album ‘Sour’ has taken over the music scene with its unmissable pop-punk sound, winning her 7 prestigious awards just this year. Rodrigo’s first single ‘Drivers Licence’ broke records with over 17 million global streams within a week of its release and is the first song in history to hit 80 million streams on Spotify in 7 days. It’s safe to say, big things await Vogue Singapore’s October cover star.
Although Rodrigo rose to international fame this year, Rodrigo has been active on-screen since the age of 12, making her first appearance in an Old Navy commercial. Since then, she has brought to life various TV roles including Paige Olvera in the Disney series, Bizaardvark and Nini Salazar-Roberts in High School Musical: The Musical: The Series.
Beyond her mounting professional accolades, Rodrigo knows how to serve looks with her off-duty Y2K street-style as well as her red-carpet appearances. At the recent Met Gala, the singer-songwriter turned heads in a punk rock-inspired lace jumpsuit by Saint Laurent in an ode to American fashion. It may have been her first Met gala, but this was by no means the teenager’s first appearance on the red carpet. Keep scrolling to see Olivia Rodrigo’s full red-carpet style evolution.
