The Brit Awards is one of the biggest nights in music, and this year’s edition was unprecedented in many ways. For starters, it was the first live music event held in the UK since the COVID-19 pandemic. Even better, it marked a celebration of girl power, with Dua Lipa winning Female Solo Artist, Taylor Swift being the first female to scoop up the Global Icon Award, and Little Mix being the first all-female band to win the British Group Award—a welcome change after last year’s male-dominated winner list.
The night might have been a celebration of music, but as with all awards shows, fashion was not far behind. From poufy couture gowns to punk-influenced frocks, the attendees brought their sartorial A-game. Taylor Swift and Dua Lipa shone in metallics, Harry Styles rocked a Gucci suit with a retro print, Griff performed in a daring dress she made herself, and Raye—in a hot pink gown with matching gloves—channelled Marilyn Monroe from Gentlemen Prefer Blondes. Read on for Vogue Singapore‘s round-up of the most memorable outfits from the BRIT Awards 2021 red carpet.
