Singapore is about to get a tad bit sweeter with the Museum of Ice Cream (MOIC) set to open in Dempsey Hill on 12 August—the first time the wildly popular, US-based museum is expanding to international shores.
Is there anyone who hasn’t seen their distinctive millennial-pink scheme or the rainbow sprinkle pool all over their social media? Every corner in this lush 60,000 square foot property drips with vibrant colours and unique textures and screams to be photographed. It come as no surprise that MOIC has been ranked among the world’s top 10 most Instagrammed museums by Smithsonian and counts Beyoncé and the Kardashians among its loyal fans.

And the cherry on top? Visitors are encouraged to also actively interact with MOIC’s multi-sensory exhibits. Singapore is putting her own stamp on this global phenomenon with 14 never-before-seen installations. So let nothing stop you and go bananas in the Singapore-inspired “Dragon Playground”, a pink and yellow jungle featuring 10,000 bananas. Take a dip in the world’s largest sprinkle pool, complete with doughnut-shaped inflatable floats. And top off your celebration of all things ice-cream related with five unique sweet treats. While we don’t have the confirmed line-up of desserts yet, the Museum of Ice Cream in New York features a luscious chocolate-topped sundae—and we’re hoping to see that level of decadence here, too.

But most importantly: indulge your inner child, lose yourself in the fantastical and wondrous, let your imagination bloom free and forge unforgettable memories with loved ones over this 60 to 90-minute guided tour. Joy is imminent.
First access ticket reservations, starting at $38, are already available on MOIC’s website in limited quantities.
