In its high jewellery, Louis Vuitton espouses an unabashed ‘go big or go home’ spirit. The bigger the better, and, well, if you’ve already committed to crafting spellbinding one-of-a-kind jewellery, why bother being shy about it? That’s clear in the latest collection that the French maison introduced this year: Mythica, a bold, ineffable name for jewels of mythmaking proportion.

Louis Vuitton has dreamt in Mythica of an unfolding epic, and a heroine navigating and writing her grand tale. The house launched the collection earlier this year in Marrakech, a gorgeous setting with extravagant vistas and warm, earthy colours. Rather serendipitously, it matched the palette of drama that is set to define pop culture in 2026, with desert hues and wine-dark shades that echo films like The Odyssey and the upcoming Dune: Part Three.

A standout amongst the collection—writ in 110 pieces across 11 themes—is this Enigma necklace. It embodies the necessary element in these epic stories of mystery, expressed on a ribbon-like composition decorated all over with diamonds and set with a series of jaw-dropping gemstones. The stupendous jewel is set with five Santa Maria aquamarines weighing 70.18 carats, four steely grey-blue cat’s eye topazes weighing 80.5 carats, and a centre cat’s eye topaz cabochon of 127.66 carats. Numbers and gems not for the faint of heart, and a jewel of heroic proportions.
