Earlier in the year, Louis Vuitton’s men’s creative director Pharrell Williams staged his debut collection at the Pont Neuf in Paris, affirming a new era. It was one that commandeered tenacity and experimentation, mirroring the lauded artist and fashion designer’s personal ethos. Of course, beyond having megawatt star Rihanna front its men’s spring/summer 2024 campaign, the collection also birthed the highly-coveted million-dollar Speedy bag, where a select few like Jacob Elordi and Jackson Wang have been spotted toting around.
With a new guard in place, new rules are too in order—with the house’s first physical runway showing of a pre-collection, that will unveil in Hong Kong tonight. Almost like a grand gesture to honour its roots; the chosen city is also where the house’s first store opened in the prestigious Peninsula hotel back in 1979. Set to take over the famed Avenue of Stars against the glittering Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront, the Louis Vuitton men’s pre-fall 2024 show will fall in line with the enclave’s history, which is known to be Hong Kong’s epicentre of arts and culture.
So what will Williams have in store for his loyal devotees? We’re only hoping for the exaggerated and the extraordinary.
Tune in to the livestream and be amongst the first to catch the Louis Vuitton men’s pre-fall 2024 collection on Thursday, 30 November at 8pm SGT.
