Longchamp’s new bags for AW21 are the epitome of Parisian chic

Whether you're looking to master the art of French fashion or simply want to feel as if you’re strolling the streets of Paris, Longchamp’s latest takes on its Roseau and Brioche bags have you covered

There are some things that never go out of style. A black dress, leather jacket and denim shorts look just as stylish today as they will in the next five or 10 years. They also happen to be cornerstones of every French woman’s wardrobe. Inspired by the work of French interior designer Pierre Paulin, Longchamp’s creative director Sophie Delafontaine sent these Parisian chic staples down the brand’s autumn/winter 2021 runway. Accompanying the looks were Longchamp’s latest renditions of two signature bags: the Roseau and Brioche.

With its playful exploration of Longchamp’s equestrian heritage, the latest take on the Roseau line has something for everyone.

Every version of the top handle bag is adorned with a bamboo clasp and removable strap. Besides that, you are free to choose from an array of sizes, colourways, textures and even straps your heart desires. In one particularly striking version—scroll down to see it below—glossy crocodile-style cowhide is contrasted against velvet calfskin for a vintage look. Wear the bag over your shoulder, across your body or simply carry it in your hand to add some joie de vivre to any outfit.

Delicate and sweet, much like its namesake pastry, the Brioche is one of Longchamp’s newest additions to its impressive bag line-up. A quilted leather body gives the tote a soft pillow-like texture reminiscent of Paulin’s trademark sofa designs. The sliding chain strap, meanwhile, provides an edgy contrast, and lets you carry it on your shoulders or across your body, depending on your mood and outfit.

This season, the Brioche is available in two new pastel shades: powder pink and dove grey. And, besides lambskin, there are now also denim and snake-effect calfskin variations for you to choose from.
