Lim Shi-An has always been a performer at heart. The 27-year-old actress grew up surrounded by scripts, rehearsals and backstage corridors—a childhood shaped by the romance of theatre and screens. Having performed from a young age, she now carries that sense of instinctive storytelling into a career that continues to gain momentum, marked by a blend of theatrical curiosity and determination that has resonated with a growing audience across Singapore and beyond. Over the past year, she has balanced multiple creative projects, from film shoots to modelling.
Tonight adds a new chapter to that journey. For the first time, Lim attends a fashion show—and not just any show, but Chanel’s cruise 2026 presentation. The maison’s return to the city makes the experience feel especially special. “I couldn’t sleep last night because I was so excited for the show,” she shares. “As a theatre girl, I love performances and a runway show is a very intricate, high-level theatrical production. I’m looking forward to celebrating the hard work of the brand.”
Her relationship with Chanel traces back to her earliest memories of fashion. “Chanel has always had a super special place in my heart,” she reflects. “Growing up, no other brand captured my attention quite like Chanel. I’ve always been captivated by the detail on their clothes and accessories. And of course, this love has only deepened because of the Singapore Chanel team’s continual support for my passions and my career.”
With the cruise 2026 show taking place in Singapore, the moment carries even greater significance. “What a dream and an honour,” she says. “I spoke to Tilda Swinton briefly at the welcome dinner and she told me it was her first time here. There’s an immense sense of pride I feel in sharing my home country with the world and with people I’ve admired and respected for years.”
The location also feels intuitively right for Chanel’s cruise universe. “I also feel that this cruise collection blends beautifully with our climate and our environment. It’s a match made in heaven,” she adds, describing the harmony between the maison’s effortless codes and Singapore’s tropical ease.
