From a distance, the new Jaguar F-PACE gleams with raw, unbridled beauty with glorious, large grilles, slim all-LED quad headlights and 19-inch alloy wheels. The handsome SUV is hardly muted in exterior design—it is a head-turner that people will put down their coffee cups for, or crane their neck in wonder if spotted zipping down the road.
Inch closer and the F-PACE beckons a powerful presence. The sculpted new bonnet extends flush to the top of the grille surround, which features a wider power bulge—the raised hood of a car—for a more dynamic appearance. The new slim all-LED quad headlights, which is 10mm slimmer than before, feature ‘Double J’ Daytime Running Light signatures, which are available with optional Pixel LED technology for increased resolution and brightness. Open its doors and a soft welcome light with the iconic Jaguar script ushers you into a cocoon of luxury.

E! Online Asia host Yvette King and her twins, Valentina and Vivienne, are certainly fans. We joined the charming family on their grocery run one morning, where King shared how the well-appointed features and intuitiveness of the car created a quiet respite after the mayhem of running errands with her toddlers. One of the things King appreciated about sliding into the F-PACE was the sheer height of the car and how wide the doors open up. There was no bending down required, even when hauling young children into the car seats, or helping older folk get in. Everything has been thoughtfully designed for the user, including its soft-touch materials with the instrument panel topper, door armrests, console sides and door bins. A full sunroof allowed streams of sunlight to fill the car on the best of days. Open-pore wood veneers and aluminium also heightened our sense of indulgence when seated in the F-PACE.
Families value practicality, and the F-PACE delivers that in kind starting from its hands-free tailgate opening and generous 613-litre boot space, which would easily fit two medium strollers. The car’s spaciousness continues in the rear seats, where there’s ample leg and knee room for growing kids or three 6-foot men.

The F-PACE’s all-new 11.4-inch HD anti-reflective touchscreen is home to an infotainment system which is generally instinctive to use and is your aid in all things, from driving modes and navigational tools to rear and top-view parking cameras. If you’re driving, and fiddling with the screen is cumbersome, you can set your own voice prompt—an example is “Hey Jaguar”—and command certain tasks such as tuning in to the radio or setting navigation, completely hands free.
To make life even more seamless, Jaguar’s nifty app called Remote, compatible with most Apple iOS and Android smartphones, enables you to view the car’s data remotely. The app is your clever guide in everything from dictating fuel levels to locating your car in a car park, and ensures experiencing extreme heat levels when entering a car in Singapore can be a thing of the past—a lifesaver with hot, sweaty children. Through the app, you can prepare the F-PACE in advance by setting temperatures to keep you satisfied from the get-go, by remotely starting the engine.
If COVID-19 has turned you into a stickler for hygiene, the add-on option of cabin air ionisation proves alluring. All you have to do is hit the ‘purify’ button, and the interior air quality is improved through Nanoe technology, which removes allergens and unpleasant odours. A PM2.5 filtration, which captures ultra-fine particles, also improves the general health and well-being of passengers in the car.

When it comes to the actual drive on the F-PACE, it is thoroughly addictive. The 2.0-litre four-cylinder 250PS ingenium petrol engine delivers an impressive 0-100km/h in 6.6 seconds and offers various drive modes such as Comfort, Eco and Dynamic. If pressing down on the brakes at the traffic light was a bugbear, the F-PACE’s Auto Vehicle Hold system allows your feet to take a break by holding the brakes until the driver depresses the accelerator. Its wheels roll imperceptibly over bumps and ridges, while its noise cancellation system reduces wind and tyre noise. It’s so pleasant, your rear seat passengers will likely fall asleep on long car rides.
Watch our Vogue-exclusive video above, where King and her twins take the F-PACE out for a spin. Juggling motherhood, work and daily errands can be hectic, but King makes it a priority to make the F-PACE her calm haven in the midst of all the chaos.
