Hermès is introducing a series of accessories for its autumn/winter 2022 Objects collection, keeping in line with the year’s theme of “Lightheartedness”. Celebrating joie de vivre in every aspect, the line pays homage to the maison’s savoir faire in the realm of artisanal craftsmanship—a trademark of Hermès that has been established since 1837. Vibrant hues and sophisticated designs define the everyday objects that Hermès is releasing this season.
As always, the creativity and impeccable precision of the maison’s artisans remain unparalleled. Each handcrafted item boasts an exoticism and wonder that makes them irresistible to touch. Expect a variety of belts and boots in soft leathers and skins, as well as delectable decorative household items for both men and women. Signature bags like the Kelly II Sellier and Birkin see their silhouettes revisited and improved, with added details and textures—cue an epopee block puzzle made of maple, natural shampoo and skincare for dogs, and even a set of alpine skis in ash, complete with cheval punk print.
On the accessories front, expect quality materials with a twist of tongue and cheek. A Yukata in Hermès’ signature orange, bracelets in lacquered wood and a key holder in printed enamel are just some of products bursting with energy and colour, giving a sense of warmth and familiarity. Footwear designs range from tantalisingly soft shearling sandals, to knee-high boots and clogs in calfskin with a similar shearling trim. The calfskin belts come in plain leather, or with a flaming fire motif embroidered by the buckle.
And then there are the maison’s scarves. A signature product of Hermès, this season’s designs unravel fantastical tales of tangled flamingo dandies, celestial goddesses on horseback and roaming canines in Rome’s Villa Borghese park.
