On the last day of Paris Haute Couture Week for fall/winter 2022, Kim Jones incorporated the ancient Japanese hand-painting technique of Kata Yuzen to create modern asymmetric floor-length dresses encrusted with crystals for Fendi. Held in an optic white cube constructed inside the early 19th century Palais Brongniart, it was a collection that bridged the past, present and future—an apt statement for the last day of couture.
