As the saying goes, big things come in small packages. The latest addition to the list? The new Dior micro-bags.
Featuring the Lady Dior, 30 Montaigne, Dior Caro and Saddle, some of the House’s most iconic bags have been reinvented into miniature form. Dior devotees will know that the selection of colours the bags arrive in are some of Monsieur Dior’s favourite shades. There’s classic black, red, and latte; as well as pastel hues such as rose des vents, sky blue, and mint or tundra green.
And while the bags might be micro-sized, don’t set the small exterior fool you. Whether you’re going out for a relaxed brunch or even to run errands, these micro-bags fit the essentials you need in these times: keys, lipstick, hand sanitiser, and your TraceTogether token.
Dior ambassadors Jisoo and Suzy have both posted pictures of themselves with their new bags on Instagram. Jisoo posed for a selca with the Micro Lady Dior in Rose Des Vents Cannage Lambskin. In addition to the ‘D.I.O.R.’ charms dangling off the bag, she personalised her bag with a textured orange charm and a bunny charm.
To go with her Micro Lady Dior in Black Cannage Lambskin, Suzy opted for Dior’s Toile de Jouy sneakers. Whichever design you choose, like Suzy, you can opt to match your micro-bag with Dior accessories. Pair the pearl Lady Dior micro-bag with the pearl Dior Tribales earrings. The CD Navy earrings and bracelet, meanwhile, match the ‘CD’ clasp of the Dior Caro and 30 Montaigne micro-bags.
For those who can’t get enough of the Cannage motif, you’re in for a treat. As part of the AW21 Dioramour capsule, the Dior Caro and Lady Dior micro-bags include a whimsical heart-themed reinterpretation of the motif. The Lady Dior also comes in a version that is embroidered with resin pearls, befitting of the bag’s name.
