There are no two ways about it: Fashion’s K-pop tide is one of mammoth proportions. The latest megastar at the forefront of the takeover? Blackpink’s Jisoo. The newly-minted Dior global ambassador plays muse to the French house’s fall 2021 collection, which sees a pop take on well-loved classics. Taking cues from Jisoo’s eye for all things preppy, Maria Grazia Chiuri’s latest offerings also encapsulate the singer’s unmistakable brand of contemporary cool. From monochrome bar jackets and sleek berets to pink plaid co-ords and blink-and-y0u-miss-it (we just had to) pearl accessories, the collection is a glimpse into the world of a bonafide style chameleon.
Chiuri pays homage to a bevy of muses beyond the K-pop universe, too. Referencing milliner Mizza Bricard and designer Elio Fiorucci respectively, the collection features a dynamic mix of leopard trench coats, silver miniskirts, and visors. Topped off with a Dior Oblique anorak and bucket hat, it’s clear that variety’s the name of the game this season.
