After three decades, even the packaging has become part of Charles & Keith’s visual identity, particularly the muted grey that has long accompanied its shoes and bags. So when the homegrown label began looking back at its design history for its 30th anniversary, that signature shade provided a natural starting point. The result is the Horizons Special Edition Capsule, which revisits recognisable pieces from the brand’s past and recasts them in a burnished monochromatic finish.

The collection draws from silhouettes that have appeared across different chapters of the brand. The Hazel Bow Top Handle Bag, for instance, retains its distinctly feminine bow, now set against a smoky grey finish, while the Philomena Half-Moon Crossbody brings back its curved, panelled shape. The Louise Knee-High Boots are reworked in the same palette, alongside the sportier Silko Ballet Sneakers. The Gabine, another recurring name in the Charles & Keith catalogue, appears across both bags and footwear, with jewellery and eyewear carrying its hardware into smaller accessories.

The Singaporean brand has already been making the Fashion Week rounds, appearing on runways including Grace Ling’s in New York, while its anniversary capsule has been making its way onto the streets since launching in September. Across New York, Seoul and Tokyo, influencers have worked the grey bags and shoes into their own wardrobes, showing how differently the same monochrome palette can read once personal styling comes into play. The compact bags sit just as easily with more dressed-up looks as they do with casual layers, while the burnished finish gives the grey a little more depth than a standard neutral. Seen across three very different fashion capitals, the capsule also shows just how differently the same pieces can be styled from city to city.

With the capsule already appearing well beyond its anniversary campaign, it ties neatly back to Horizons, showing how some of the brand’s longstanding signatures are still proving their staying power in wardrobes today. For a homegrown label that began with a single shoe shop, Charles & Keith is still ticking off milestones, with plenty more ahead.
