The fashion circuit for the fall/winter 2025 season is well on its way to its last leg. Milan is done and dusted, and we’re onto Paris next. But not before a necessary recap of how the Italian city showed its hand. Industry heavyweights kicked things off; Gucci’s design team led the way for propositions that paid homage to both its intrinsic house codes, and the creative directors who coined them over the years. Meanwhile, Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons continue to challenge the notion of the female ideal—more so than ever with its collection of loose-fitting frocks, awkward collars and coarse fabrics that worked in opposition to the male gaze. And as the season rounded off, Dolce&Gabbana put the cool girl front and centre—an unabashed vision of casual, sexy separates given the luxury treatment, be it in a pair of crystal-embellished jeans or boxy yet slinky slips.
As with any notable fashion week roster, the runway collections may be the star of the show, but the real question is: who would wear them? What every show needs then, is a real life cast of individuals, specifically one the current zeitgeist would have their eyes peeled on. In essence: the front row. An esteemed list of invitees that span press, fellow industry changemakers and of course, a bevy of celebrities from around the globe.
As always, Gucci pulled out all the stops. Where A-listers Jessica Chastain, Daisy Edgar-Jones and Julia Garner were joined by house ambassadors, Korean actress Park Gyu-young, Chinese star Xiao Zhan and mega name Jin of BTS. Meanwhile, Prada called upon its current slate of maison familiars, such as Karina of Aespa, Hunter Schafer, and Byeon Woo-seok to newcomer Gawon of Meovv. Later in the week, Versace famously called upon the unexpected appearance of its house ambassador and Oscar award-winning actor Cillian Murphy to take his seat in the front row, where fellow maison muse Hyunjin of Stray Kids also made his notable entrance.
