Greta Lee is slipping into a role like never before—as the newest global ambassador for Calvin Klein. The renowned actor, who joins the brand’s roster of distinguishable faces from Jungkook to Kendall Jenner, makes her sizzling debut in its fall 2024 underwear campaign. “I am over the moon, beyond excited and pinching myself. I have loved Calvin Klein since I was a teenager so this is unbelievable to me. It was probably the Kate Moss campaign that first got me obsessed. How surreal to now be in my own campaign with Calvin!” Lee tells Vogue Singapore.
Lensed and directed by Mert Alas, Lee is a tenacious force as she struts confidently and unapologetically through her day—from working out in the morning sun at home and grabbing a cuppa out in the streets. All whilst stripped down and styled in the brand’s fall 2024 underwear icons, from Modern Cotton Air to lace separates and a sexier intimate silhouette in the Sheer Marquisette.

While we’ve seen her portray the competent Stella Bak in The Morning Show and embrace the vulnerability and wistful strength that of Nora from Past Lives, the star admits this particular appointment was one that bridged out of her comfort zone and at the same time, where she gained a new perspective on self and sensuality. Below, Lee tells us more.
Tell us your first reactions upon slipping on the pieces for the campaign.
Shock! Normally I’m wearing much more clothing during a fitting! I felt really nervous and a little shy at first when I had to pose in the streets wearing only underwear and a tiny tee shirt. I’ve never done an underwear campaign so most of that day was just trying to wrap my mind around what was happening and what I’d gotten myself into. But as soon as I met the legendary Mert Alas and Emmanuelle Alt, I felt relaxed and like I could just have fun. They are so energetic and full of joie de vivre. Not to mention the fact that they are absolute icons in their own right and are responsible for some of my favourite campaigns of all time. We joked, laughed, and danced until I thought I might collapse with utter joy and exhaustion.
What are your favourite pieces and tell us how you would normally style them on the daily.
I felt supported in Modern Cotton Air Bralette. It’s lightweight and breathable bra that I can wear every day. I also really love all the Tonal Logo styles that balance refinement with comfort and are perfect for early morning lounging. The CK logo was something I’ve always loved even early on when I was emulating my personal style inspirations—the pop stars of the early aughts like TLC and Aaliyah.
If you had a capsule wardrobe, what would be the pieces in it?
In my daily life I wear very simple minimalist clothes. And I love denim. The ’90s straight jean are a classic silhouette for me that I return to year after year, either paired with a crisp white button down or a white tee with a long light trench or duster. I’ll probably be wearing the same thing when I’m 80.
How does Calvin Klein complement your personal style and lifestyle?
I have always been drawn to clothing that feel both athletic and sensual without taking too much focus away from one’s own natural unique beauty. To me that’s Calvin Klein. And CK is synonymous with New York City, the city of my dreams and my forever home.
Calvin Klein has always been synonymous with sensuality. What has been your perspective or experience tapping on that side with the shoot?
I can genuinely admit that I was terrified by the idea of showing a sexier side because sometimes modern women can feel an inclination to be strong and independent in a more cerebral and less physical way. Or at least that’s been my personal experience. But this of course is not what being a woman feels like. We are so strong, body and mind. But now that I’ve done this campaign, I feel so much gratitude for the softer and more sensual side of my life experience. It feels very exciting to show this part of who I am in this way and hopefully it can inspire other women to do the same.
What other exciting projects can we look forward to from Greta?
I just finished filming Tron: Ares with Jared Leto which will be coming out next year. And I am currently shooting the next season of The Morning Show as Stella Bak on Apple TV+.
