The best dressed celebrities at Paris Fashion Week so far

We’ve arrived at Paris Fashion Week, which signifies one thing: the curtains coming down on a season’s worth of fall/winter presentations. The last slew of shows are set for 8 March, with industry heavyweights Chanel and Miu Miu staging their collections then. We’ll be waiting with bated breath on more news as to the themes, garments and best dressed stars set to turn up—but in the meantime, there proves to be enough aspiration from the past few showcases. It seems that in the final stretch of this sartorial marathon, our favourite luxury houses have put in a burst of energy and tenacity to deliver upon one memorable showing after the other—ranging from Dior’s audacious take on corsets and jackets that resemble armour to Saint Laurent’s slouchy silhouettes trussed-up with big swathes of faux fur that bring to mind the high glamour of the ‘80s.

This was all complemented, naturally, by the sets, music, and guest list. In the case of Dior, models strutted down the catwalk under the watchful eye of a gallery of female portraits meant to convey “judgment that has conditioned—and still conditions—women”. Saint Laurent opted for a more conventional take with regard to ambience, though if there was one thing that united the two labels, it was this: a star-studded front row, with said attendees clinching the title of best dressed stars at PFW with ease.
